What's the longest anyone's gone OD?

Hi - I'm 40+5 today. Due to EMCS with DD1 have been told that can have no induction (which I'm actually happy about) but am facing prospect of ELCS on 16th if nothing's happened by then. I have asked my consultant if I can make this later, all being well, as I've read that 42wks is perfectly normal (I would only be 11 days over on 16th). So far I haven't had an answer except 'let's wait and see what happens'.

Anyway, just wondering, out of interest what's the longest any of you lovely ladies have gone OD - either through refusing induction or ELCS?

what a fantastic outcome kittykat I also had a BBA. I had planned a HWB and dd2 arrived before the midwives did.

Hi i went 2 wks over with my 2nd, when i did start i was monitored for 15mins, and whisked down for a emergency c section, they worked out the baby was to big at the last minute, im only 4ft 11 and he cam as 8lb 6oz.

Ds1 was 2 weeks over, and 11lbs! but when preg with Ds2, consultant said that looking at notes dates were wrong with Ds1 and was probably 4-5 weeks over, emergency section, and planned section with ds2 who was a mere9.5lbs.

Congratulations kittycat37 sounds like an amazing birth experience!

I went 40+12 with my DD, another friend went 40+13. Both labours started naturally. However, another friend went to 40+18 and was then induced. She was going into hospital every day once she got to 40+14 and I know they were encouraging her to get an induction. Baby came out by EMCS in the end as weighed a wopping 10lbs4!!!!
