At what age did you have your last child, if you have finished!

This is a bit hypothetical because I don't have a partner at the moment.

But I think I would like to have another child one day. Ds2 is getting on for 3 and I am now 36...ds1 is nearly 7. I am worried that I'm pushing it regarding age...I know the risks of 'problems' are higher after 35 so have missed that particular boat. Also if I met someone now I'd not want to rush into having babies straight away.

So, just curious about other people's thoughts on having children at this age, or a bit older.

Recently had my 3rd and pretty certain to be last at 33

I was 32 when I had my last child, I would carry on having children for as long as biologically possible if I had a husband who wanted the same thing.. sadly that is it for us.

And there is someone on a 'really old mums' thread in Chat who is HAVING a child at (if I remember) 49!

I have a four year gap between mine and had forgotten the sleep deprivation. I probably felt a bit worse, given that I was over 40, but I survived. And one of her classmates has an even older mum.

My mum had me (first and only) at 47, and for the first 6 months of her pregnancy her GP insisted that I was the menopause

First child at 32,second and last at 35. My grandma had 10 children, don't know when she had her first but she had her last at 44. All of them healthy,how lucky was she

Had DD when I was 29y; started TTC at 26y.

Am now 37y. Not ruled out a second DD, but after 5y of TTC it is unlikely.

First at 28, second at 29 and third and last at 30. Am 38 now and would have loved a fourth but DH would have stopped at 2. Still hanker after that bonus baby.

Not too sure if we will try again so currently my last was born when I was 34. First at 25.

First at 30 (by 5 days) last at 31 (this summer).

If we did have another (v v unlikely) I would want it over and done with by 35, but that is because I feel so old and tired already!

3rd at 31 because of age gaps I will have done the school run for over 14 years so thats enough for me

I had DS when I was 33, last year. We're not sure if we still want to have 2 children but if we decide to have one more and everything goes according to the plan, I'll be 36/37 when I have my 2nd.

DS at 34, DD at 37. Am very soon to be 39, and still in two minds about the possibility of more...
