Sounds really bloody stupid, and its probably purely because everyone is winding me up that im carrying twins. But now i feel like i am!
Im 13 weeks (scan on the 5th Jan)but my belly is like a bloody 5 month pregnant woman. IT is my 2nd baby and yes the stomach muscles are sooo not what they were before DD. And i haven't scoffed my face, just eaten normally.

Am i being a complete pratt?!

Hope you are ok - been thinking of you and checking this thread far too much!

Ailz · 08/01/2010 15:10

now i am intrigued too, please come back Lou. hope it went well

LouLouH · 11/01/2010 12:47

So sorry ladies. I had so much going on i didn't get a chance to come on here! Not acceptable i know.

Thank god it is only 1! Phew.

Convinced it is a boy now. Probably be proved wrong on that one too. But i need an explanation for the rotten nausea and now heartburn. lol.

How are all you gorgeous girls?

I bought one of those bump bands from mamas and papas. Its brilliant, anyone that fits in the trousers/jeans still other than having to leave the buttons/zips undone. Buy one, i was really suprised how good it actually is. Great for under tops that ride up too as it looks like a t-shirt underneath.

Meant a lot that you guys checked in with me.

Oh by the way baby is fit and well according to sonographer.

DH's face was a picture, i have never seen such a macho guy turn so gooey! lol

Its my second baby but his first.

Awww I wanted you to have twins lol - but only the fairy tale side of things where they look angelic and sleep cuddled up.

That is great news that baby is healthy and happy though

Bump bands - must get one! I am now in an even more awkward situation as I have lost weight so my trousers are too baggy on the legs but too tight on the stomach. I look odd!

LouLouH · 11/01/2010 13:36

They're cheap too. Im sitting here at work and am actually comfortable!

Yeah it would have been nice to have twins but only for the novelty, i would most definitely have not been able to hadle the demand from two babies! I feel like i have two already as my DH plays about like a child with my DD as it is!

How have you been anyway my lovely?

peppapighastakenovermylife · 11/01/2010 17:08

Oh yes I always say my DH is my first born! More hassle than them together

I'm ok actually - well relatively compared to before. Less sickness as long as I keep to quite a bland diet. Really must ring a midwife and sort out a scan.

acatcalledfidget · 11/01/2010 20:57

phew - glad all is well

LouLouH · 19/01/2010 13:40

peppapighastakenovermylife you still haven't sorted your scan?! Naughty girl!

Sorry i take forever to write back on here now. Work has picked up in the office so i cant get on here as much as i did.

I know what you mean about the bland diet to avoid the nausea. I've slowly managed to filter in a couple of more daring things! I could even eat spaghetti bolognese just the pasta. Oh the joys. lol

Hopefully now you have sorted your scan?

PeppaPig have you had your scan yet? Is it twins? I'm so nosey

midori1999 · 08/02/2010 13:39

Just a small update...

I have been for my scan this morning, and it's twins!!!

I was in total shock really, but very, very happy. As soon as I saw the scan on the screen I thought, 'well, there's only one in there', but after scanning for a while the sonographer said 'do you notice anyting?' and my husband said 'twins', and it is.

Both seem well, both litle wrigglers and both have good heartbeats, which we saw and heard. I am seeing the consultant next week.

meltedchoc · 08/02/2010 13:51

awwww, congratulations midouri !

applestrudel · 08/02/2010 22:56

Congrats midori!! Fantastic news

peppapighastakenovermylife · 09/02/2010 07:39

Midori! Congratulations? How do you feel? Eeek!!

I finally have my scan this morning after a lot of messing about and stupid rules at the hospital - will be nearly 14 weeeks. The feeling about twins has really diminished over the last few weeks though but we will see

ExperimentSixTwoSix · 09/02/2010 08:22

Wow!
Amazing stories on this thread
Good luck Peppa

loueytbg · 09/02/2010 08:43

In my first PG I had a feeling it was twins and I was right. I can't put my finger on exactly when but I switched from looking at single buggies to twin buggies - I think around 8wks. Had a private scan a 9 weeks and there were two! I had clomid so there was an increased risk but I hadn't really thought about it TBH. I felt v sick from early on but had nothing to compare it to. I'm now PG again and am starting to brick it that there might be 2 again. I don't feel much different from last time - the only thing I'm hanging on to is that the PG tests were lighter than at the same stage last time, and no clomid either. Scan in 2 wks....

midori1999 · 09/02/2010 10:01

Good luck with your scan today Peppa, let us know how you get on? TBH, I had convinced myself there was only one baby in there, and that loads of people must think they are having twins. I don't show at all yet, although I had started to notice that when I am sitting up at the laptop (so straight on a chair) it is uncomfortable to cross my legs as it puts too much pressure on my tummy.

I have to admit though, I haven't stopped grinning since I found out, I am just so, so happy!

peppapighastakenovermylife · 09/02/2010 10:56

Midori STOP IT! I just went back and read your original post and realised that is how I felt at your stage too. I am putting it down to it being my 3rd pregnancy (stern glare at anyone who suggests otherwise ).

You know you now have pregnant women across the country trying to cross their legs dont you

Am off in a minute now. A small part of me would love twins but really it would be very difficult for us.

Am so pleased for you and that you are happy though

peppapighastakenovermylife · 09/02/2010 12:31

One, one, one, one, one! Happy and healthy (so far touch wood)! I am very happy and relieved it isnt twins as we really would have stuggled. Not even an ounce of mistiness which is good

It has now occured to me that I am having a third DC though - eeek!!!!!

midori1999 · 09/02/2010 12:57

Glad you are happy to only be having one!

Three is fine. These will be number 4 and 5 for me, I do like a challenge...

GibberingGinger · 09/02/2010 12:58

Congratulations on your twins Midori, and congratulations on your singleton PeppaPig. Hurray for healthy pregnancies.

Spookily enough I predicted identical twin boys when I was about 6-8 weeks, and again insisted they would be boys at 16 weeks. I had the twin part confirmed at 10+5, and have just had the boys bit confirmed at the 20 week scan. I just have to wait until the birth to find out whether they are identical (seperate placentas so probably not but still a chance). But 2 out of 3 ain't bad. If they are identical then I'm going to take up predicting lottery numbers or something!
