Sounds really bloody stupid, and its probably purely because everyone is winding me up that im carrying twins. But now i feel like i am!
Im 13 weeks (scan on the 5th Jan)but my belly is like a bloody 5 month pregnant woman. IT is my 2nd baby and yes the stomach muscles are sooo not what they were before DD. And i haven't scoffed my face, just eaten normally.

Am i being a complete pratt?!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I thought i might be going slightly mad as i am convinced that i am pg with twins. I am only 8 weeks but i am so exhausted. When i was pg with DD i was doing 3 horses a day and working as a waitress til 19 weeks and i was fine. Now i can't get up in the mornings, in bed before 9pm and was sick from 4 weeks.

Rationally i know it is unlikely, but i just have this sense iykwim?

peppapighastakenovermylife · 30/12/2009 12:07

Lou - I went off chocolate when I was pregnant with DS but not with DD - I wonder!

Alice - welcome to our madness!

LouLouH · 30/12/2009 12:12

lol alice join the line, i think we've started a bit of a hype.

peppapighastakenovermylife see now that is the more realistic thing that i am hoping for that it is because i am carrying a boy this time, and that the other things are all my imagination due to horrid relatives making me believe it!

I don't know if i have subconciously talked myself into it, because we said if it's twins we must get rid of the horses and buy a bigger house (and car) so whether it is just preparing myself for a huge upheaval

Peppa - were you on the slatterns thread?

peppapighastakenovermylife · 30/12/2009 12:14

No I don't think I was. I understand your reasoning - this is baby number three and is pushing it a bit as it is. If it were twins then the upheaval would be much bigger...

brockleybelle · 30/12/2009 12:15

peppapighastakenovermylife you must let us know after the scan!! there could well be two in there!

Alicehasamincepieintheoven · 30/12/2009 12:17

We have just replaced my car and when we were buying it i was strangly drawn to the Citroen Picasso I had just got my BFP the day before too....

LouLouH · 30/12/2009 12:18

Ladies the thread is going to have to keep on going for all our scan results now. At least till alice and peppa find out.

Good luck. Colleague has just been staring at my stomach as I look quite scarily pregnant. I am hoping its bloating as have actually lost 10 pounds with sickness so I cant just be getting fat [grin. Waist band on jeans is getting too tight...

EEK!

Good luck!!!!

SplitPea · 04/01/2010 14:02

Congratulations on your pregnancies ladies. Peppapig I was BunOven on your evaporation thread! Great news - I'm rather jealous Since getting a BFN I've become obsessed with POAS every couple of weeks hoping for a positive - even though I'm on the pill. I just can't talk DH round.

Good luck tomorrow LouLouH - I'll be checking in to see how you got on.

I was convinced I was carrying twins but turns out there is only one baby in there.

peppapighastakenovermylife · 04/01/2010 14:27

Hi splitpea - very food related names going on there! We decided in possibly a moment of stupidity after finding out I wasnt pregnant that maybe we should try for DC3 . I am just hoping its only DC3!

It wasnt helped yesterday by my 3.5 year old DS informing my friend that I was having two babies (I havent mentioned pregnancy in front of him) !

midori1999 · 04/01/2010 18:38

I wonder if I am carrying twins. I have had bad morning sickness with my previous pregnancies, but it seems different this time. I am actually 'off food' this time and just don't fancy anything, whereas before I was sick but ravenous. I also have a very heavy feeling in my abdomen, odd crampy pains which I didn't really get before, and had strong implatation type pains which I also don't remember before. On top of which I am exhausted and feeling quite dizzy/ill if I stand for too long.

I did have a twin pregancy, my last pregnancy, although sadly made the decision to terminate as DS3 was onyl 3 months old and has Downs, so the future was very unclear at the time. Plus, I had takent he morning after pill and my GP told me they couldn't be sure it wouldn't have a negative effect on the babies. It's a decision I have regretted ever since and so I do wonder if I am just wishful thinking now. There are no twins in my family.

lorrycat · 05/01/2010 10:35

How did the scan go OP?

BikeRunSnowflake · 05/01/2010 11:01

A girl I know thought she was having twins before she had a scan. She is a GP and I guess she knew the symptoms. Twins can make you feel extremely sick in first trimester, as twice as many hormones about. I had hyperemesis and had a scan to look for twins at 9 weekss. Twas only one baby, but was still hideously ill for weeks and weeks. Goodness knows what twins would have done to me.

GibberingGinger · 05/01/2010 13:39

I'm REALLY curious, how many did the scan show you are carrying?

peppapighastakenovermylife · 05/01/2010 13:52

I know - I WANT AN ANSWER!!

SplitPea · 05/01/2010 16:27

Me too!

peppapighastakenovermylife · 05/01/2010 16:32

Maybe its triplets and she is still in shock

acatcalledfidget · 06/01/2010 14:36

LouLouH - was everything okay? x

SplitPea · 06/01/2010 16:10

Hi LouLouH - hope all is well x

decafgirl · 06/01/2010 16:30

Come on Loulou!

I faithfully promise you can get twin insurance - I just googled it! I have no idea how they know you haven't had a scan but it's true!

Hope you're all well ladies xx
