Okay in last 24 hours I have been crying at everything including:

Gavin and stacey- his low sperm count.

My christmas party last night- a supply teacher had come along (very brave) and nobody was really talking to him so he looked lonely.

Getting home from Christmas party feeling a bit rubbish (was also my leaving do as am on mat leave now) to find DH in bed asleep and he had put all my bed stuff in spare room so I wouldn't disturb him- I was back at 10.30 (!) so I cried because I wanted a cuddle and felt sad about leaving work.

And now currently sat sobbing my eyes out because found out my mate from worked shagged the hottest most yummy staff member at our school (who we all lust after- but obv being happily married is a harmless crush) so now crying because I feel old and married and babified (am pretty much first one of my friends to have a baby) and I am missing the drunken shagging fun of christmas. And yes I know this is really stupid and irrational but I can't seem to stop crying! Help!

I have leaky eyes at the moment too - am 37 weeks.

Yesterday i sobbed when i realised that my DS will no longer be my baby boy (bawlllllll) and this morning i was off again when DP suggested that it might be time to get DD's fringe cut - she has the most gorgeous curly blond hair, and despite that it falls into her eyes, she won't wear clips or bobbles, and i just can't face the thought of cutting it.... * sob*

I cried because we couldn't decide which dvd to watch.

I cried because I was worried that some ducks we saw on the tv might be bored.

I cried because I couldn't finish my glass of wine.

I cried because DH asked me to measure my wrists so he could buy me some splints for my carpal tunnel, and I thought he'd spoken to me too loudly.

I cried after seeing Hamlet when I was about 5 months because David Tennant would never run away with meeeeee... wahhhhh!

I had a whole day of misery but pulled myself together eventually

My poor, poor dh.

Fairytale of New York. Gets me every time. Not only because of what happened to Kirsty MacColl, but also because it was meant to be the 'first dance' song at our wedding, only we both decided that our relatives wouldn't get the joke. And then I think about our wedding and bawl again, because DH is away with the army and missed our wedding anniversary.

Oh, and this song by Sarah McCloughlin: Wintersong
Makes me think about my miscarriages, as well as my DD and the new baby due in March. Bugger, am crying now.

Love this thread.

My silliest cry in first pregnancy was because a vertically challenged (dwarf? Midget? I don't know what to call them sorry) was on Deal or No Deal and he had big, beautiful, blue, innocent eyes and seemed such a nice person and I just thought, God, how much stick must he have put up with in his life and he's still lovely.

So I cried so hard I had to cancel going to a party.

I realised I might be pregnant when I started wailing at the Gok Wan show when the subject of the show does the final catwalk and they look so fab!

I am 36 + weeks and cry every time DS and I read the My Mummy Has a House in Her Tummy book - the bit where it says sometimes me and mummy like to cuddle on our own and I tell him that I love him through her tummy telephone. Tears rolling down my cheeks writing that down !!
I also cried yesterday looking at teeny, tiny scratch mitts

tassisssss · 01/01/2010 19:59

Loads of kids books would set me off, esp Owl Babies "...and she came!"

And I cried when dh came home from the chinese without prawn crackers.

SofiaAmes · 01/01/2010 20:04

I had one phone from me to dh....I was at Tesco, bawling my eyes out so hard it took 10 minutes for dh to figure out that I just "couldn't decide whether to buy brown bread or white!"

I cried last night watching the first episode of 'stenders where Masood stood up to his brother who'd been coming onto his wife, and told him to get out of his house - then when Masood walked past Zainab, and she mouthed 'Thank You' that was it - i was in bits!!!

I cried after finding that next door's boody cat had been using or dreied leaves and chippings as a toilet. Unfirtunatley I was halfway through clrearing them when I found out. I was wering gloves and washed my hands 6 times with washing up liquid but was borderline hystericalat the thought I might have poisoned our baby. Git annoyyed when DH showed zero sympathy!

Morloth · 02/01/2010 14:46

Am 21wks and crying at most things at the moment. My whole family was laughing at me last night watching the end of Doctor Who. I made some strange croaking noise as David Tennant realised it was grandpa wilf all along, and he had to save him. Sobbed uncontrollably as he said his goodbyes in his own way.
Watching DD2 (18m) emptying my asda shopping bags all over the kitchen fllor is making me cry too, she's just bought me a box of custard and some kitchen rols, and is now trying to break her way into the grapes. So grown up now. Sob!
