Coasted out of a side road in the car straight (mercifully gently) into the side of another car. The did exactly the same thing to exactly the same woman three seconds later because I was wildly gesticulating an apology.
Costly bump. (Pardon the pun)

Eaten some really disgusting food combos like hard boiled egg with sliced tomatoes on a sarnie w/green pesto.

The other day I put a mug of hot coffee in the fridge.

We had no heating when i was pregnant and I had several interesting incidents with the wood stove. One evening I laid the fire, closed the doors and sat back for 20 mins wondering why it wasn't getting warmer before realising I hadn't put a match to it. Another time I went outside to get the coal, laid and lit the fire and couldn't figure out why it was still cold until I realised I had left the door wide open and the snow was coming into the kitchen! I also melted the soles of my shoes whilst resting my feet on the electric heater.

Things only got worse once I had ds though:

  1. The first time I went to town with ds I got him out of the pram and carefully set up in his pushchair and merrily waltzed off leaving the back door wide open - it was still wide open when I got back and amazingly nothing had been pinched

  2. I took ds in to work to show him off and didn't realise until I got home that my breast pads where showing through my white shirt like two big white targets .

  3. I left the road atlas on the roof of the car and drove off. It blew off into the hedge and when I went to retreive it I fell on my backside in the stinging nettles.

  4. Ds' pushchair had a drinks tray by the handle onto which I would often put goods when out shopping and then leave the shop forgetting they were there. I did it four times in total - amazing I was never arrested!

DS is two now and I can confidently say, NO, you don't get your memory back - or your marbles!!
