Ok had decided I would go ahead and have the Swine Flu jab once my surgery got in touch, then while led in bed this morning on comes Hilary Jones saying if his wife was pregnant he would advise her not to have it! Only 2 weeks ago or so he was saying all pregnant woman should have it!!

So now what do I do? and yes I am the sort of person who prefers information in plain english so I can understand, im not a medical type of person with no medical background. All I care about is will my baby be OK if I had the jab. Im 30 weeks right now.

I know we are all in similar positions as each other not really knowing what to do but after this conflicting advise im totally confused!

Sorry I prob sound really thick now

He has just been on again with the another doc and they contradicted each other, so who knows! personal choice i think but to be 100% with the decision you make and stick by it.

I had mine yesterday after deciding that I was more scared of getting swine flu in my third trimester than I was of any risks associated with the jab.

I googled it to death and could not find any actual risks for the jab but loads for getting the actual swine flu.

My arm has reacted and is red but baby is kicking away as normal - so far all good and no regrets!!

For those of you who are interested in the company behind the swine flu vaccine have a look at Glaxo Smith Kline?s directors list, It makes fascinating reading and you can cross reference (via the internet) a few of the directors regarding some very interesting events and positions they hold. Conflict of interest may come to mind!

*Sir Liam Donaldson, although not on the directors list however, i feel you need to have some information regarding this man.

Sir Liam Donaldson ? Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Department of Health

This man approved Mercury & Squalene to be in the injection to be given to pregnant women & children. Unbelievably he is also the chair of the WHO (World Health Organization) Patient Safety Secretariat. Is this a bad joke or what,,,, unfortunately NO!

*James Murdoch - Son of Rupert Murdoch
CEO of News International Ltd who is ideally placed to control propaganda regarding the swine Flu & the vaccine. James Murdoch was appointed to the board of directors of Glaxo SmithKline PLC 20th May 2009. Haven?t read much negative news about the Swine flu jab in his papers, Hmm wonder why, NOT!

*Sir Roy Anderson (Scientist) ? sits on the governments SAGE committee and is a director of Glaxo SmithKline the purveyors of the swine flu vaccine to H.M Government with a nice little pay packet of £116k a year, at least a quarter of what he receives from his shares ?.hold on surely this amounts to a ?conflict of interests?.

SAGE (Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies) recommends that everyone should have the yet untested, unsafe and toxic Swine Flu Vaccine.

Hmmm, Surely one now has to at the very least consider agenda's and or conflict of interest here?

The above is only my observations; I am not trying to persuade anyone one way or the other. However, I do advise you to do as much research as possible prior to getting the jab and not just on government information sites, that way you will be better informed and take the decision that is right for you.

Good luck and best wishes to all you Pg women.

I've just called the surgery and specifically requested to have the seasonal flu vaccine, which contains the swine flu vaccinne. I'm 30 weeks pregnant and fully aware of what suffering flu could do to me and my baby: that's why I want to be vaccinated as soon as possible to minimise the risks.

'I just want to know the truth', only James Murdoch is on the GSK board, as a non-exec director, so not sure where you are getting your info from - but it is wrong.

Please stop using emotive, frightening language and recycling conspiracy theories unsourced - it is particularly inappropriate to do so on a board used by pregnant women. This is not the David Icke boards.

This is something I've ummed and arhed with like most people here.

So far I'm on the no I won't have it side, based on I'm not high risk in any other way. A friend of mine is a GP and last year she was preg over winter. Her thoughts were that the vacine was a good thing for those in the high risk category, but she was not willing to have it herself whilst pregnant or let her 18month old have it.

So far I haven't had to make the final decision as my surgery hasn't offered it as yet.

I think it has to be a personal decision as there isn't and decent research either way, but I do agree that the conspiricy theory of who's on what board etc is not helpful.
