Hi all

I had a MC a few weeks ago. 3rd sept to be exact was when actual MC happen but started on the sun before (?30th Aug)

Had really conflicting advice about TTC again so decided to take my on course of action, what will be will be!

Then had a follow up scan on Sept 17th and sonographer said I was about to ovulate. Went on hol following day and didn't use contraception.
Still no AF although I know it can take longer after MC, And am light headed etc....

????Can't bring myself to test but bought 4?!
Also if its a BFP REALLY don't think I could tell ANYONE nt even DH too scared someone tell me I'm being completely stupid and of course would have to tell him......

Thank god for MN!!

Surely CB digital or 1st response would have picked up by now tho?

Dunno, just keep on having sex. If you aren't pregnant yet you soon will be.

CakeandFineWine · 09/10/2009 21:35

well thats a plan, BUT DH on nights hmmm

cakeandfinewine - yeah you would've thought they would have picked up by now but until you get your period just try to put it out of your mind (hard I know!) and if you are, then Im sure you'll find out soon enough. Either way just carry on as normal and if DH is working nights, just catch him in the morning

CakeandFineWine · 10/10/2009 21:00

Thanks Texas!
I have a seeking suspicion DH has invaded MN on nights to see what I'm up to
Well I guess I have 2 play the waiting game....

Cakeandfinewine - haven't read the whole thread, but wanted to say that I conceived the next cycle after a miscarriage. In fact, didn't want to conceive. I had a VERY early miscarriage... dr told us that I wouldn't ovulate for a few months more so we took that to mean "free birth control" and then got pg the very next cycle. Very happy now, of course with our DS (12 months) but we were in total disbelief at first.

CakeandFineWine · 10/10/2009 21:12

Thanks star6
What a weird thing 2 say I've read that your apparently most fertile following a MC?
BUT have had completely conflicting advice for healthcare professionals about how long I "should" wait...

CakeandFineWine, am only speaking from personal experience but I have never had a BFP from either of those brands and have 2 dc's and had a million BFP's from cheap 99p tests if that is any help to you. (again only from my own experience)

Also I had a mc and when my periods never got back to normal I just put it down to that and exdp kept telling me I was pg again I did a test to prove him wrong.....dd just turned 6 last week I had fallen pg less than a fortnight after mc confirmed.

Good luck

CakeandFineWine · 10/10/2009 21:19

Arh thanks,
Still no AF here but feeling a bit "heavy" IYKWIM? See what 2moz brings me thinks?

I know! We said to him "we are NOT ready to have a baby right now" I was SO sad about the MC but the MC was a mistake as well iyswim. So the dr said "don't worry. You won't ovulate for a few months more anyway following this MC".
Imagine the 4 weeks later when I didn't get AF and took a test witha positive result!! Actually, it was tears... followed by joy and now... well, now I can't imagine life without ds and love him more than anything in the whole world

Thisistheone · 10/10/2009 22:29

Star6 That's so lovely, sometimes these babies just want to be born no matter what. Like they are meant to be with us - let's hope there are some out there who have their eyes on us.
Ineedacleaner Love the name, me too! Good to hear your story too.
Cakeandwine heavy feeling is a good sign. I've had that too, a little blood today and was really down - but again tonight feel bloated and heavy so still not certain it's a NO. Will let you know tomorrow as it's the big day and should be conclusive as it's def 2 weeks. Only fly would be if AF arrives in the night - well it's getting toward Hallloween and there are lots of witches around.
Keep BDing at 6.00am and keep testing it's bound to be a Yes sooner or later.

Thisistheone · 11/10/2009 16:03

Hello, tested this morning on a CB and it was a NO. Still I always says its not over till the fat lady sings and that would be AF turning up to spoil the party. She hasn't arrived yet and I still feel sick and bloated. Maybe I'll leave it a couple more days. Am I deluding myself now?

I think they say you should wait until first period after mc just for dating purposes but I think don't waste any oppourtunities if you want to have a DC don't hang around.
Best of Luck

CakeandFineWine · 11/10/2009 21:15

Hey thisistheone sorry about your BFN, But I agree def not over til AF arrives!

Hello Cakeandwine well done for not testing for a couple of days and definately don't cross your legs! Good Luck over the next month.

I think it's definately over for me. I think my cycle was just out because of mc had some red spots today and feeling really down because of it. I was absouletly 100% positive I was positive. Oh well I've got a week to prepare for the next round. Feel bad that we missed a month of oppourtunities.

CakeandFineWine · 13/10/2009 23:47

Oh thisisthe one but it WILL happen xx
Still no sign of AF here whatsoever. Cracked this am CB digital BFN haven't got a clue whats going on with my body at the moment and I hate it. (TMI ALERT) Had a weird mucusy discharge last night tho a bit like a show, god knows what it was?
I'm now actually wishing for AF so that at least I know either way and then can crack on for next month.....

Hi Cakeandwine thought this thread had gone quiet. I get a creamy CM when I'm pg is yours like that? Still hoping it might be a positive for you, though I hate to say it mc can throw cycles out and I hear some people don't get AF for 6 weeks. Mine had a funny start, which is why I thought it was a pg (implantation) but a couple of days later it came in properly. Now I just want it to end so we can start trying again. I took my temps last month so I know I ov'd. I must start doing it again, it;s a chore first thing in the morning though, I always get it wrong. Hope your cycle sorts itself out soon. Did you go to the EPU - have they given you any advice?

CakeandFineWine · 15/10/2009 12:19

I have had a creamy CM but this was slightly different can really explain it TBH.
Still no AF but well aware that cycle will be messed up, bit like u as I keep getting BFN just want it to arrive so we can get on with trying too!
Finger crossed for you this month tho!!
I did go to a sort of EPU No advice whatsoever they were crap TBH!
