I'm nearly 37 weeks and I am bloody pissed off. Everything hurts, my lower back aches, my bump drags and the braxton hicks are so strong. I feel like I'm gonna wet myself or poo myself all the time. I'm too hot, I have permanent indigestion so never get more than an hour sleep. I am massive and everywhere I go people stare at me. My 3 year old and 5 year old are getting harder to handle every day. And... my dh won't have sex as he reckons it might bring on labour and he 'needs' another week at work. I need this baby to arrive as I have officially had enough. .

It's not like a first baby where you can treasure that last bit of time before the baby comes, I just want to get this over and done with so I can meet my little girl. dd1 - 39 weeks and dd2 - 35 weeks so was kind of hoping this one might show up a bit early too.

Add me to this too. I'm 37 weeks, up all night and have 2 toddlers to look after all day. I can't bear it for another minute. I can't breathe or eat or wear anything that isn't pyjamas. C-section is next Thursday - can someone just knock me out until then?

puffylovett · 24/08/2009 20:12

I'll keep my fingers crossed you're all right

Does anyone know what height the birthing balls should be ?

I lost the plug for my last one which was big and v comfy, bought what I thought was the same thing from Argos the other day and it's tiny. Do you think it matters ? I had a great time bouncing on mine playing freecell last labour - was hoping to mumsnet do the same this time around

mogend77 · 24/08/2009 20:49

60 cms springs to mind - can't remember where I got that from though!

beanstalk · 24/08/2009 21:07

Hanginbelly - I was about to start a v similar thread! I'm 34 weeks (but measuring 36!) and am feeling totally fed up. I have spd and can't walk very far, let alone keep up with dd's boundless energy. Add to that lack of sleep, and not even being in my own home - we are renovating our new house which is taking longer than anticipated so I'm staying with my in-laws. Ok so I don't have to do housework but they are driving me slowly insane. I don't know how I'm going to get through the next 6 weeks!

bratnav · 25/08/2009 01:42

I'm joining in this thread too.

38 weeks with DC3 and am completely hacked off. So tired as I haven't had more than 3 hours sleep a night for weeks, SPD, heartburn, apalling backache, measuring 44 weeks etc etc.

DH is being a total star re the house, DDs and cooking etc, as well as mopping me up every other day when I beg him to make this stop but I cannot wait for this baby to arrive

mrswee · 25/08/2009 06:09

Can I join in too? I'm only 35 weeks but have SPD and can't walk/ stand for even 10 mins at a time! So even though I have just started may leave, I can't go shopping, do much house work or meet friends for lunch! Why does everything seem to be on the floor in my house???

Think I have the start of an ear infection and you may notice the time - 6am been up since 4am unable to sleep, sore ear not helping!
When I brushed my teeth last night the sink looked like a horror movie, so I am now worried about gum disease too!

Baby seem to still be breech or transverse, so no indication that this may be over soon either!

PUFFLOVETTE - birthing ball should be about 60 cm if you are under 5.7" I think and 70 cm if you are over that. I think you need to have a bigger ball if you are blowing it up to 70 cm.

JRocks · 25/08/2009 09:35

Oh me too, me too! I'm 35+4 but am measuring 3 weeks ahead of myself. Waiting on results of tests for GD, and generally feeling fed up!

Last night I was so whingey I irritated myself and ended up in tears. DP just looks at me helplessly and asks what he can do, but short of wearing the baby himself, there's just nothing I want.

Hoorayhenrietta · 25/08/2009 09:46

Hi all....couldn't help but laugh knowingly at all of your comments. Am 36 weeks preggers, and have a 3 and 2 year old and was 40 on Saturday!!!!!...My DH was fab, made a real fuss of me...so not all bad but feeling like an 80 year old is toooooo much. Really knackered, and looking forward to meeting my baby...but have stacks still to do, like finding a house (we are renting), a new car, and more baby things...I went into Bath yesterday with two kids in tow (silly!!!), and literally couldn't face the shops, so just did a quick shop in Waitrose and sped home (not like me at all!!!!)...am due 23 September, and other DCs were both late, but here's hoping. My DH seems to think it will arrive on time or late!!!!

brightonbleach · 25/08/2009 10:52

wow I'm impressed with all of you coping with already existing children as well as hard-work-pregnancies - I don't know how you do it!! I'm just about 31 weeks and already wondering if being an only child would be so bad for the bubba...

I cannot sleep - NO position is good for weeks now; he's just had a growth spurt and seems so very heavy right now, I find myself pacing around (fromn midnight till 4.30 last night) with weird thoughts racing around my brain. plus,am getting so overheated all the time, my internal heating system seems to have gone haywire! Makes me feel panicky if I'm honest, and I have loud fans roaring all over the house to compensate - good job I don't already have kiddies, don't know what I'd do...

good luck everyone.

puffylovett · 25/08/2009 22:28

The only thing for all of us to do is.............

to veg on the sofa, eating copious amounts of chocolate and haagen daaz and moan to each other to our hearts content !

I feel sooooo much better knowing I'm not alone.

Thanks so much for this thread hangingbelly

Deeeja · 26/08/2009 02:35

Right am awake. I keep going to the loo. If I walk for more than 10 minutes my back hurts and I feel I will wet my pants.
I was hoping that this baby would come before my due date, simply because it is a girl, how stupid is that?
I am still breastfeeding my youngest, who is 3 in November, so am now clinging on to the hope that it might help with bringing on labour.
I have never felt so pathetic.
Kids trampoline is starting to look appealing.

arolf · 26/08/2009 10:32

ah, brightonbleach - I've already suggested to DP that an only child might not be such a bad idea after all and i don't even have any nasty pg side effects. god alone knows what i'd have done with hyperemesis, or severe SPD, or other.

I'm just about to go off to see the MW, see what she has to say about my breech baby and other niggles. I keep on dreaming thaqt she'll say 'oh, looks like he's on his way, you'll have a baby by the weekend!', but I doubt that somehow. I'm convinced the little sod will be overdue.

24 days until my due date. (use this to calculate it for you ) 24 days isn't so long, is it?!

Mimile · 26/08/2009 11:28

I'm 40+1 today, and banking everything on the next full moon on the 4th of September (I was already banking on the previous one in august, but obviously, nothing..). That will be me at 40+9, so surely, the baby will be out by then...

memoo · 26/08/2009 11:51

Puffy, I can't even cheer myself up with chocolate and icecream because I have gestational diabetes! oak cakes and fruit for me

I woke up in the night with this almighty pain across my stomach and thought yes this is it, but then realised it was just wind.

puffylovett · 26/08/2009 12:11

ah memoo, have you not heard of diabetic ice cream

Me too, I had really crampy regular periody pains every 5 minutes for an hour the other night. Thought, fuck, this is it, I'm not ready !!!

Then went for a poo and it stopped

Well, DS is in nursery, I have done my apts for the day, so now I'm off to blockbuster for a pot of ice cream and a chick flick

memoo · 26/08/2009 17:17

ah puffy i didn't know you could get diabetic ice cream, think I may phone DH and get him to stop off at sainsburys on the way home!

SpawnChorus · 27/08/2009 10:40

Coming back for another moan. I am SO FUCKING TIRED today. Had insomnia for about three hours from 3am last night. Just couldn't get comfortable.

I'm also permanently ravenous at the moment. Eventually got up and made myself hot chocolate, a honey crumpet and a slice of bread & Nutella.

The DCs aren't at nursery at all today, so we're all still in a state of undress. They;re squabbling and I'm wasting time on here.

Ugh.

I'm really fed up, but I don't really want to give birth yet either. In fact I'm feeling decidedly nrevous about the whole labour thing.

I just want to be carried to a super soft magical bed, and have my feet rubbed while the DCs are entertained.

lazylion · 27/08/2009 10:50

I could have written exactly that SpawnChorus. I was up at 2am, back to bed at 6 then my 2 year old woke up. I am knackered and we are all still in pyjamas here too in filthy house.
One week today I'm having my baby and I have started to think I'm not ready and perhaps I could bear the misery of this pregnancy a bit longer rather than face the birth.
God yes to soft bed & foot rub.

Hangingbellyofbabylon · 27/08/2009 10:53

I'm back for another moan - baby was odd last night, major squirming and huge braxton hicks. up half the night with leg cramps and feeling odd. Today I am beyond exhausted and feel like I'm going to throw up and I need a poo at all times . But don't. both dd's in pj's and me too - argueing over who ate the last mini cheddar.. me thinking shit if the baby came today I don't have the mental or physical energy to give birth.

OP posts:
memoo · 28/08/2009 14:49

how are things today HBOB? Hope you're feeling a bit brighter. How is everyone else too?

I have only just managed to get myself dressed today, I'm in a crappy mood. DH has phoned from work twice and both times I've been really grumpy with him. In the end I just went and lay on the bed and cried.

Have had to pull myself together a bit now as taking DC to a friends DS's b'day party.

I have a scan and clinic appointment next week when I'll be 36+4. I am literally going to beg to be induced soon. They said they would induce at 38 weeks anyway due to GD and big baby. Now baby is breech as well hoping they might say yes

puffylovett · 28/08/2009 16:37

won't they just jump straight to a section with a breech baby memoo ? and don't worry about having a good sob, we all need it sometimes.

we're a bit brighter over here - been out and about today, after a week of rest am feeling more energetic (she kids herself)

midwife came out this morning to discuss birth plan, which is all good - am just hopin I don't go overdue like last time, which would be disastrous.

Hope you're feeling better today hangingbelly !

ZippysMum · 28/08/2009 16:55

I'm having a tough day too - but reading this at least I am not alone! 25 days left for me too - but I feel like I am going to pop every time I roll over / get up from the sofa/ try to use my stomach muscles in any way and I am so TIRED!

And the heartburn!

And my bloomin' pelvis feels like it is going to come apart accompanied by a sound effect like the noise of someone pulling a leg off a roast chicken).

My DH got home and I just sat on the stairs and cried at him. I don't want anything, except for the time to go!! The twins can't come yet, it's too early, but I feel sooooooo eurgh.

OK rant over. Thanks for listening

usernametaken · 28/08/2009 17:04

I'm working on the assumption that I have a maximum of 25 days left- that is allowing for the little one to be 2 weeks later. 11 days to go just sounds too optimistic!

So my countdown of 25 days to go seems more realistic...but very far off.

I'm now more than ready. I want to sleep in my bed again. Our bed is too harsh on my hips at night so the sofa has been my bed since 16wks. I'm now thoroughly p'd off with sharing the sofa with 2 large cats.

I would love this baby out before the end of the month but that is approaching far too rapidly. I want a few days to recover before having to do the school run and have all the yummy mummys say "oh my, don't you look, um... well" when they really mean "haven't you had that thing yet, you look enormous"!

memoo · 28/08/2009 20:02

Puffy, I have a feeling they probably will just go straight for CS if baby stays breech. I asked the consultant and she just said we'll cross that bridge when we come to it

puffylovett · 28/08/2009 22:28

still time to turn, memoo - get bouncing on the ball and crawling around on your hands and knees

My midwife said they don't worry about babies position until 37 weeks. I was back to back until the last few days, we're now head engaged and lying with back to front (can't remember correct terminology !). A lot can happen in just a few days !
