God's sake. I found out I was pregnant with Lottie when I was just over 4 months, I didn't realise how lucky that was until I fell pregant this time round.

I had the early scare where GPO and I both thought I was 10 weeks and scan showed I was only 5 so either my dates were wrong of baby was 10 weeks and hadn't grown fro 5 weeks so wasn't a vciable pregancy; all turned out to be okay but went throught hell.

Waiting for my next scan now I'm about 9 weeks and haven't heard so chased hospital myself. They heard of me and am being seen by head consultant. Nice but straight away I feel like I'm a special case cos of this, due to Lottie having DS, and that makes me jittery. Then she says 'he hasn't seen your letter yet, he's only in Tuedays so we'll show it to him this afternoon', and then 5 minutes later my mobile rings asking me could I urgently fax over the results of the 2 scans I've had. Why does it all feel so..... worrying??

Also I've been feeloing really sock and really tired every day, esp in the afternoons. Friday i felt the worst yet. Then Saturday throught to today I feel fine. No sickness, no tiredness, I'm not even sure my boobs hurt that much. I was looking forward to feeliong normal again and now i am, at only 9 weeks I'm paranoid. I want to feel sick then I'll know everythng is ok.

This is no laugh at all. I'm not having fun and I want to be unworried and know for a fact, beyond any doubt at all that I am healthily pregnant. i'm back to taking deep breaths and having tight shoulders. I'm trying not to but it's not easy. Please let it all be okay and roll on 3 weeks so I can just get past the scary bit and then roll on the next 6 months.

Sorry, nothing any of you can or should say, just sounding off to the only place I can, I'm okay really, well i'm not, but i am, iykwim!

Thomcat · 24/05/2005 12:37

Bless your heart hub2dee, you bloody made me cry though you sod! (it was the bit about having 2 bubs on hoilday and Lottie stroking new babys hair )

You're so right about the adrenaline breakfast and I'm going to shape up and go and have a healthy lunch.

Thank you, TC xx - see the smile is back, (it's a teeny bit put on but not completley )

hub2dee,I'm just dying to know if you'll be such a sage and generally soothing presence after your baby arrives!!!!

hub2dee · 24/05/2005 12:41

(thought that might pull the heartstrings and snap you out of the depths of fetal depression).

Won't it be fab, TC ?

Mummy, can s/he be my dolly ? Can s/he come and play tea with me ? Can I carry her ? I'll be reeeeelllly careful, mummy !

LOL.

You go and have a good feed.

X

Thomcat · 24/05/2005 12:44

Hub, can you follow me round mumsnet and always make me feel better when I get silly again. Don't ever leave will you, when that baby arrives don't go abandoning us for your new DD/DS.

Thanks for the vote of confidence in daddy2bean, but you haven't seen me change a nappy yet.

ewwwww.....

moondog: doubtless I will become a miserable, moaning, tired, confused ass who will simply snooze in the corner and post nasty spiky messages about babies who won't sleep / hold down milk / shake off nappy rash etc. etc. etc.

Tee hee.

moondog · 24/05/2005 12:47

We'll see...............................

hub2dee · 24/05/2005 12:48

I fear I will be conspicuous by my absence, but I'll come and say hi when I can / when I need to know the recipe for baby wipe lotion etc.

Hey ! Barnet (my council) are just about to launch a Real Nappy Campaign thingy, where they give you £50 towards laundering or against purchases ! That's kewel !

hub2dee · 24/05/2005 12:51

PS - TC - it's a girrrrrlllll !

DW bought a 0 - 3 month cardigan !!!!!!! Very cute. Really nice striped design.

hey, TC... pop into a Mothercare or sommit during lunch and look at the bodysuits / vest thingies and at what your little bundle will wear. Only stay for 120 seconds and then run out with a weird and wacky grin on your face to everyone gets really worried you're a loon.

OMG, How mad. Wasn't actually sick but wretched so violently that I nearly weed at the same time and it made my eyes water and I had to get my breath back!! (sorry probably too much info, but hey!) What a little star this abby is, he/she has given me a few days off and then realised i'd be worried so made me wretch like that so I could feel happy again! ohhh, blimey, how fab to feel sick again!

Hub - you're having a baby girlllllll, ohhhhhhhhh, how lovley, thanks for sharing, ahhh, you are going to be such a soppy dad

Toothache · 24/05/2005 13:27

Abby??? Was that a typo or a premonition?

clary · 24/05/2005 13:28

Oh TC knew this was you somehow. I agree, it?s all a bit grim.
But don?t worry because it?s going to be fine.
Has the baby got elbows yet??
Just keep thinking positive thoughts and watch out for that big big bump....
(that's a good point from beansprout, you feel icky but can't really tell people why...)

Thomcat · 24/05/2005 13:35

LOL, at abby typo!
Ohh I'm such a dram queen , i start this thread and then by the end of it I'm wretching and happy again!
i'll be worried as hell again later!
Like I said, it's no laugh this pregancy lark, no laugh at all.

TC
You have just read my life for the last 4 weeks, .. Feeling much the same as you but you have been through the mill.
Wishing you a speedy 12 wks..

hoxtonchick · 24/05/2005 15:26

i am now 33 weeks pg with my second but literally haven't been able to relax at all this pregnancy, much much more anxious. and nothing's gone wrong, i've just worried a LOT. and it's suddenly hit me that i'm going to have a baby in 6 weeks time (early induction as i have diabetes), & i haven't even really been thinking about that, just focussing on getting through the pregnancy. i think it is harder second time round, you can't indulge yourself, & you're not blissfully ignorant (well i certainly was last time). not sure this is any help, just wanted to tell you you're normal TC. and not long now 'til the next scan!

sweetkitty · 24/05/2005 15:33

6+5 weeks today! Not been actually sick yet but have wretched a few times, feeling knackered, think boobs are tender but it may be from DD biting me when feeding.

Am stressed to my eyeballs, packing for move into Dad's flat as this place isn't sold yet, having to pay thousands as unable to complete on house in Scotland we were supposed to be moving to so money worries galore although hoping to be made redundant. Haven't seen DP for 2 weeks as he's already working 400 miles away so have had to cope with DD (10 months) on my own.

Don't even know where I'll be having peanut (DB) yet! Stressed - moi!! Got no time to think about being pregnant. Feel sad I can't sit back and enjoy it now.

Toothache · 24/05/2005 15:34

SK!!!!!!

Thomcat · 24/05/2005 15:38

oh bless you SK, well I hope it all falls into place really soon.

toothache - I thought you knew I was pregnant again!!!!

Rachey1969 · 24/05/2005 15:43

On a rather flippant note, I think next door's builders got a laugh watching me throw up into my hands this morning after I just managed to swerve the car up onto the pavement!
