Hi, im new to this site and im worried about my baby boy. I was hospitalized for 4 days 2 weeks ago b/c of bleeding and cramping. My placenta had detached a tiny bit from my uterus and is sitting near my cervix. That following tuesday morning around 5am my water broke(membranes ruptured) and i figured it was the bleeding. Also the fluid wasnt clear due to the bleeding at the time either. When i went to the dr. the ultrasound confirmed it. I had no amniotic fluid around the baby, but that week before I did. Me and my fiance' decided to continue with the pregnancy with the very poor prognosis. I was terrified at first but prayer has truly helped me. It has been 1 week since my membranes ruptured. Im barely bleeding and im not cramping at all. I was prescribed antibiotics and have to check my temperature 2x daily. Has anyone experienced this before or know someone who has???

Hi Worzsel I am dubious about revealing her name on here because I've posted some stuff here that I would not want some people in RL to know.

Landanmom - glad all ok with you still For your hospital admission you will need lots of magazines, ear plugs, soft towels and some nice toiletries. Of course you don't actually need any of these but they make you feel better I was aiming for 33-34 weeks but only made it to 30+5.

George - I was admitted the week before I had her because I had pv bleeding. We were both monitored and all was fine. I was set to go home two days later but then one of my swabs came back positive for Group B Strep so they put me on IV anti-biotics. Then 4 days later I got a high temperature followed by contractions which were frequent and very painful. The obstetrician and the neonatal doctor advised me to go ahead with an emergency elective c-section due to the risk of baby developing sepsis. Unfortunately I had been given an anti-coagulant drug earlier that day hence could not have a spinal or epidural - it had to be a G.A. I was so upset about that because I knew I would not see my baby for hours after she'd been born. I came round from the G.A after two hours (was told it would be 6)and was delighted to hear we had a dd, but I had to rely on dh's phone videos of her because I was not able to see her until the following day.

Hi Landanmom - haven't been on this thread for ages but if you are still checking it I just wanted to wish you the best of luck for the start of your hospital stay next week and check everything is ok? Do keep us posted on your news if you get the chance.
