Just wondering as having another sickness free pregnancy so think i'm most probably
having another boy.

I've heared that people have had,

sickness= girl
and then
No sickness= boy

But not heard of any stories of same pregnancies (sickness or no sickness)= girl and then boy

Please humour me

sorry lots of sickness with both......ds and dd !!

Fleecy · 19/03/2009 15:29

No sickness either time, spd both times, DD first time, DS second time.

DD was three weeks early though and DS was late - had assumed I was having another girl but as soon as I went overdue I started wondering if it was a boy as that was the only difference between the pregnancies.

Not very scientific but you did ask

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 19/03/2009 15:32

No sickness 1st time = DS
Some sickness last time = DS

Both very differenct pregnancies but I was sure both were boys. This time pregnancy has been quite similar to DS2 (but I still think she's a she )

TooMuchTV · 19/03/2009 15:35

No sickness with either, identical pregnancies, one of each (dd then ds)...

Jojay · 19/03/2009 15:36

Sick with DS1, not sick with DS2

goingtohaveagoodnightssleep · 19/03/2009 15:38

No sickness with dd1, sickness until 18 weeks with dd2. Very tired with ds. All very different pregnancies!

midnightexpress · 19/03/2009 15:40

No sickness with either, 2 DSs

midnightexpress · 19/03/2009 15:41

Oh and my cousin had ghastly sickness with all 3 and has 3 DDs

Lawks · 19/03/2009 15:42

McDreamy · 19/03/2009 15:44

I think it depends more on the time of year than the gender of the baby - heat -> worse sickness. Two similar sickness filled pregnancies DD and DS. This one is quite different, though still sickness filled. It has to be one of the two genders

ComeOVeneer · 19/03/2009 15:51

Same pregnancies (no sickness, extreme tiredness at beginning and end, went off the same foods, no cravings) first was a girl and second was a boy.

ComeOVeneer · 19/03/2009 15:52

Both at the same time of year (one born end Dec other beginning Jan).

Had two similar pregnancies. no real sickness, just nausea and funny metallic taste. Bumps very 'out the front', second one a bit more so than the first. First pregnancy was DS and second was DD.

LittleMissBliss · 19/03/2009 15:53

Yay! There is hope still! I would love a girl but have convinced myself that it will be another boy, which it may still be which would be great also. But the fact that it is not set in stone is exciting!

Interesting to hear that different pregnancies also resulting in the same sex children.

keep them coming! The more stories i hear the more hope i will have.

sickness wise my pregs with dd and ds2 were very similar.

was quite sick with dd and extremely sick with ds2.... hardly sick at all with ds1 though.

got spots with both boys and not with dd though

Dottoressa · 19/03/2009 15:55

A bit of nausea with both, but no actual sickness. A million other horrible symptoms, all the same in both pregnancies. Only difference was a terrible craving for olive oil in my second p/g which I didn't have in my first. Result was one DS and one DD!

shubiedoo · 19/03/2009 15:56

I had the same experiences all three times, two ds's, then a dd. I had a slightly smaller bump the third time but otherwise carried the same way and had virtually no symptoms.

LittleMissBliss · 19/03/2009 15:57

This baby is due in Oct and Ds was born in November. So the same time of year theory may be right re-sickness.

1st pg - very bad morning sickness, never really went away = dd

2nd pg - exactly the same morning sickness, exactly the same things set it off, could only eat the same sort of stuff (cheese sandwiches and apples), sonographer referred to the baby as a "she" during 20 week scan, so of course we assumed we were having another girl and got our girl name ready.

But at 39 weeks or so, at least 3 complete strangers offered their opinion that the bump was a boy. So we got a boys name lined up just incase ...

and lo, he was indeed a boy. Lovely surprise but a bit disconcerting when we had really convinced ourselves no. 2 was a girl.

Flier · 19/03/2009 15:59

pmt like anger with dd
I was in a constant good mood with ds

no sickness either time

francagoestohollywood · 19/03/2009 16:01

I had sickness = boy
yet more sickness = girl
