Arrrrrg i hate this minefield of prams!

everytime i think i find one i like, i find something i dont like about it!

i want one with a carrycot that will last a while i was looking at mutsy but then saw a newish baby in one and he looked like too big for it so i think that idea is out the window. im not keen on three wheelers and dp not keen on anything with small trolly type wheels, there just doesnt seem to be anything that we i like out there at all!

key things i would like are

carrycot (good size one)
sturdy wheels
front and rear facing

any of you wise mnetters have a magical pram solution for me {hopeful emotion}

I have 10 weeks till baby is due and its not looking hopeful!

Bugaboo frog. secondhand. very light, I got lost with DD on a fab summer's day, had to get home over styles, just unclipped carrycot section and lifted over style, then took wheels separatel. You can use carrycot as a travel cot for visits/ camping etc. very good.

mountain buggy urban is so fab. /carry cot is really big , lasted for six months, ds 12 mth still fits it now to sleep in but at 6 mths wanted to look out all the time.

so easy to take on and off (unlike bugaboo IMO)

all my mum friends have gone off their prams or got more than one. I have loved my mountian buggy every minute of every day, so comfy, so easy to steer to put up and down, looks good, easy in shops, i live in london, no prob on train, loads of room in shopping basket.

i love it

Ok - I actually have the Mutsy Urban 4 Rider & LOOOOOVE it!!! Granted DD arrived 3 weeks early and feet at bottom of the carrycot didn't fill more than half the length, but she still fit in it well at 5.5 months and she was on the 91st centile for height by then. We switched her to the seat unit at that point only because we were headed overseas with it for a month's holiday - which really was fine as the seat unit also goes totally flat. The other great thing about it is that the carrycot sits very high in comparison to most other buggies - DH & I are fairly tall and this definitely saved our backs! I could go on and on about how much I love this buggy and the reasons why, but really - don't discount it - the carrycot is actually much larger than you'sd think!

And 14 months in, the frame is still rock solid, looks great, has stood up to walks in the Glasgow rain, DD is still happy facing me, her nursery teachers have commented it's the best buggy system they've seen, no one else has it, I can keep going.....
