Hi, Im currently trying to decide which pram is the best to go for. Im looking for a pram which has a carry cot, car seat, and also a pushchair facing towards and away from me!!

I quite like the quinny buzz, the Mamas and papas Herbie, and the Silvercross 3d pram system, or Silver Cross Linear freeway

Can anyone recommend any of the above, or can you recommend any others?

Im very confused!!!

Thanks ;)

i would go for something like a p&t, mutsy duo or abc with reclinable toddler seat.

oh and if you get the p&t make sure you get the vibe. the sport is harder to steer.

i have the silvercross sienna sleepover and it was worth every penny, very light and a real head turner!

Definitely bugaboo but get the gecko, it's just as good for much less of the price. Okay, you can't change that colour is that worth an extra £300? I adore my bugaboo and have had so much use out of it. All my friends wish that gone for one as its so light and easy to pushy and so much comfier than rickety mclarens. Slings and carriers are great but not when you're taking your baby for long walks and going shopping. Helsywebb, it comes with a very comfier carrycot and can have a maxi cosi carseat clipped onto it.

Silver Cross 3D is rubbish. So heavy. Awkward to put down when holding a baby at the same time. Takes up a lot of room in your boot - tried it in a friend's car and couldn't fit it in his Megan. The brakes don't work very well. A couple of buttons have come apart so not great quality.

For OP. You do need to think about when you want to have your next DC. I bought a mamas and papas pliko pramette that has your criteria apart from pushchair mode facing towards you. This didn't seem to bother DS too much! It was fine but I secretly preferred my sister's bugaboo. .My DS has been in the Mclaren Volo for the last 6 months or so, it's great. I now have another baby on the way and there will be a 15 month difference. I sold my pramette and have a Phil and Teds on the way as I can see myself doing a lot of walking and don't think I could cope with a sling. I should have bought a P&T in the first place as it looks and performs well as a single. Duh. Lesson learned.

i personally wouldn't buy the p&t just to use it as a single. there are better and lighter 3 wheelers around for single use.

Got the old buzz from two years ago. It has had a lot of use (up to 6 miles per day, all terrains). It has lasted well but is starting to fall apart now. Personally, I'd consider buying one again but only with the new double front wheel. The older front wheel is easy to bend/damage and when it is faulty the pram is a nightmare to push. We've had 3 front wheels so far after catching it in potholes or on kerbs.

The older fabric tends to fray quite badly too. The new prams released this year use different fabric so hopefully they've solved that problem too.

Not much room for carrying shopping as you can't hang things on the handle and the shopping basket is teenie. Also, not the simplest to fold down so no good if you are going to be getting on and off public transport.

i prefer one handled pushchairs cos they are easier to steer one handed and i use shopping bag hooks to hang carriers off when i go shopping.
