2 boys

mazzystar · 08/08/2008 19:22

one of each
worse with the boy - vomited every day for first 7 months, and then last two weeks

NorkyButNice · 08/08/2008 19:26

Mine was a boy - I spent 6 weeks unable to move without vomiting (literally) - lost 12lb in 2 weeks at the worst point of it.

Ended up 2 stone lighter than I was before getting pregnant (not the diet option of choice).

Hey to all you who lost weight- did it come back?

very bad 24/7 sickness for 20 weeks - boy
no sickness at all - boy

meglet · 08/08/2008 20:54

no sickness (but nausea), boy

loads of awful sickness, girl (according to the scan)

onepieceoflollipop · 08/08/2008 22:54

lilymolly, after dd1 my weight seemed to stabilise at 8 1/2 stone. When I got pg with dd2 I put just over 2 stone on, within 4-6 months all the weight dropped off, partly due to b/f I think (and I ate LOADS). I now eat what I like, dd2 is 1 next week and my weight is around 8 1/2 stone still.

pre-dcs I struggled to keep my weight below 9st. (I am short btw, so slim but not superskinny at that weight)

Slickbird · 08/08/2008 23:37

I was seriously sick for 5 months with both my girls. When I found out I was pregnant for third time I sh*t myself as I just didn't want to go through the hell again (there were lots of other pregnancy related things too). However, I am 10 weeks now and even tho I am still , being sick 2-3 times a day, I am still able to get up and do stuff, it just gets worse as the day goes on. I'm def. not as bad as the the last two times. That suggests to me it is a boy but I'll let you know in March! Most info I've ever heard on this is you tend to be sicker with girls.

Slickbird · 08/08/2008 23:39

P.S. I also heard last year that it is 'harder' to make a girl and that you have to both be fit to increase your chances of making a girl. Personally I think that is probably a lot of baloney!!

lilymolly · 08/08/2008 23:39

Me due March too!

Was feeling so much better today- forgot to take cyclazine..went to pick dd from cm, and managed to hold of from puking until i got back into the house....god knows how I did it.

Must remember to take the tablets!!

I wish I had anti-sickness drugs, but I don't think I qualify. sigh

PInkyminkyohnooo · 08/08/2008 23:50

I had it with both boy and girl. Been very sick this time but not HG, and as far as we know it's a girl.

EBenes · 09/08/2008 12:24

I've taken anti-sickness drugs this time, an antihistamine called Avomine - just stopped at 23 weeks. They made an incredible difference from the first time. On the drugs, I was sick about once a day in the morning and then okay although felt sick for the rest of the day - no more vomiting. When I didn't take the drugs I was back to vomiting all day long. When you have a toddler this is really distressing for them and means getting nothing done. I know all drugs are very risky, but I don't think I could have managed without them, and I did hours of internet research even after the GP said they were fine. My morning sickness eased off around this time with the first pregnancy too, but returned at week 28, but I'm hoping that's it this time and I don't have to take any more drugs. The scan couldn't tell what sex this baby is, but she suspected a girl.

pgwithnumber3 · 09/08/2008 12:27

I wasn't sick as such but suffered dreadful nausea and was incredibly tired and weak with both DD1 and DD2 as well as heartburn. So far in this pregnancy have not had anything as bad, will be interested to see if it's a boy.

Good luck lillymolly, when are you due?
