Really not coping. 8 weeks pregnant after a full term stillborn. I thought my appointment to confirm pregnancy was today and tuns out its tomorrow. I know its not a big deal .But for me right now it feels like a HUGE deal. I dont have any bleeding or cramping so no reason to believe anythnig is wrong. But my mind is all over the place. Like whats if its a cyst giving off Hcg or an empty sac...Its a lot.

I'm so sorry for your loss x. I got pregnant 3 months after a miscarriage. She's now 24 weeks and kicking like a good 'un.

I know the anxiety well though and you almost have to force yourself to think happy thoughts. As weird and cliched as it sounds I found counting my breaths helped. There was also a period after my last scan when they confirmed she was healthy that I started catastrophising like my brain couldn't accept good things happening to me. I mentioned it to my midwife team and they got me on a community mental health support program.

When you meet your midwife mention your struggles so you get local support within your community xx.

Just found this thread, I’m glad everything went well for you. I’m in the same situation, I had a stillborn in September and I’m now 12 weeks pregnant. If it’s any help at all, I’ve been told I’ll be having plenty of extra scans and check ups the whole way through, so hopefully that will be reassuring for you if you didn’t know already

That is so true. Life is tough. Im literally putting one foot in front of the other.

Sending you the biggest hug. The anxiety after loss is so heavy, every appointment feels like a mountain. Two small things that helped a close friend through her rainbow pregnancy: ask your midwife about a Tommy's Rainbow Clinic referral if there's one near you, and when eating feels impossible just eat anything — toast, cereal, soup, all fine. Don't add 'eating perfectly' to the worry pile right now. Thinking of you.
