I’ve been really undecided what to do.

I cant seem to find much recent research about the risks and benefits.

Just wondered what other people are deciding and if your managed to find any good recent research that has helped your decision.

thanks

That is a very dangerous attitude to have

The BBC, lol 😂

If debunked ‘fact checker’ Mariana Spring says we must get jabbed we need to get down to the jibby jab centre PDQ 🤡

If pregnant women are advised not to eat unpasteurised cheese (although French docs have dismissed this nanny state nonsense), why on earth risk a vax with so many side effects?

It isn’t being offered in pregnancy.

The only people who are eligible for the Autumn 2025 Covid booster are
over 75s
people who live in care homes
immunosuppressed people

No relatives of high risk patients, no pregnant people, no asthma etc.

I just double checked and pregnant women are being offered it - they come under the “immune suppressed as per the Green Book tables 3 and 4” criteria.

Not many other groups are being offered it - no health and care workers, no families of immune suppressed people, no asthmatics unless poorly controlled.

No its no longer being routinely offered to pregnant women.

I've had the flu and happy to have whooping cough and RSV but really not keen on another COVID booster. Can't tell why, just my gut feeling.

Depends where though.
Still offered in Scotland, at least in some parts.

MissScarletInTheBallroom · 21/09/2025 18:04

I had no idea COVID vaccines were still a thing.

Carrotcake55 · 21/09/2025 18:04

Strangely, my midwife with the first was really pushing for the COVID booster in 2023 (I've had the initial jab and 2 or 3 boosters, can't remember) but the current midwife for my second said she wouldn't have the booster now either.

Must be quite recent as my midwife discussed it 6-7 weeks ago 😯

GiantYorkshirePud · 22/09/2025 13:07

I didn’t have the covid shot in pregnancy, but I took up all the others, including the RSV which im very grateful to have had.

I was offered the covid vaccine twice in pregnancy, once at my 20 week scan and again at a 34 week scan. I gave birth in February for context.

Sidge · 22/09/2025 13:14

Right I stand corrected - I’ve checked the criteria at work this morning and pregnant women are NOT eligible for Covid vaccine this autumn (unless eligible because they are immune compromised).

Curiousrobin · 22/09/2025 13:16

There was a lot of fear mongering when I was pregnant and I felt confused. In the end I stayed unvaccinated and have no regrets.

Back in 2021 when I was newly pregnant with my son the vaccination was offered to my age group for the first time. I decided not to have it. Caught covid at 17 weeks. It was a runny nose.. that was it. Then again when my son was newborn, my husband and I caught it again. Again, it was so mild for me I only knew because I tested. I'm assuming my son had it too but he was completely symptom-less.

TotalDramarama24 · 20/09/2025 20:23

Pregnant people?!

Women are people so why is this confusing?

curliegirlie · 22/09/2025 13:25

No one is being offered Covid vaccinations at the moment, unless they are severely immunocompromised. We do get the flu, whooping cough and RSV. All very worth while accepting.

Yes because I trust in science 👌🏼

I’d probably have the jab as I tend to have weak immune system at the best of times, but I wouldn’t say “I trust science” as a rationale.

There is a lot of bad science, and a lot of bad decisions made on the back of relatively good but complex or incomplete science.
