I would say no…

boulevardofbrokendreamss · 31/12/2024 00:06

That's quite a leap

Livingonhope · 31/12/2024 09:34

My female dog has started this but I'm 27 weeks pregnant so it was a good bit further on she started it...could be a uti or she's sensing a shift of some sort in the house maybe you have moved the room about or sensing new smells x

Cornflakes123 · 31/12/2024 10:45

What ??

CrossCuntry · 31/12/2024 14:06

Dog might need checking for a utility, frequent urination and being more cuddly due to feeling unwell?

You might be pregnant if you've been trying but the only way to know is to take a test!

UTI not utility 🤣

My mum's dog peed on my bed recently when I was looking after him. He's never done this at hers so she suspects it's because I'm pregnant. I just think it's because he was in a new house and maybe marking territory 🤷🏼‍♀️ but you never know.

jennywrites · 31/12/2024 19:19

I'd be so interested to see if you are!
My dog started this once my baby was born and we were really worried she was ill. But vet said all was ok. Happened 2-3 times and then stopped 🤷‍♀️

Oh wow! She definitely must be noticing the shift in hormones if you are in later stages of pregnancy

If you’re not due your period for another 11 days it’s impossible you’d be classed as pregnant yet. You’d either have just ovulated or at the most the egg could be fertilised but it wouldn’t have implanted yet. No hormones would have been released yet etc.

Also when you started this thread you’d have been 13 days away from your period. Meaning you’d have only just ovulated at the most. (Obviously unless you ovulated early but I’m only going by your dates here). The majority of women ovulate 10-15 days before their period. Then it takes around 6-12 days for implantation.

Could it be potentially implantation twinges please?

Uncouple the dogs medical issues from your desire to be pregnant and go get the dog checked.

Could what be? Your thread is about a dog peeing on your bed? You’ve said nothing about twinges. Regardless it’s still too early for any symptoms anyway if your dates are correct.

😆

Adamsapple89 · 02/01/2025 09:51

I think you need to read up on ttc, educate yourself on ovulation timings etc

No, I very much doubt she's pissing herself because you're pregnant.

Please ask your boyfriend to take your dog to the vet and to get her checked as she may have a UTI or some other issue causing this.

Good luck with your TTC journey but the dog thing is entirely separate.

BodyKeepingScore · 02/01/2025 13:50

@YourTealBiscuit it's virtually impossible for your dog to have been "detecting a pregnancy" based on when you posted and when your period is due.

You'd only have been ovulating around the time of your initially post so there's no way you'd have been pregnant if your period arrived as normal last cycle.

Re implantation - also no.

I think everyone needs to stop being unkind in this post.....its meant to be a safe environment everyone's interpretation of a irrelavant question is different .....irrespective of what you think, treat others with a bit of kindness rather than ignorance

?

I was asking because I genuinely had no idea that there was a link between dogs peeing and being pregnant. Your post assumes this is common knowledge. I really don’t think it is. Not trying to be unkind just don’t know .
