@OnNaturesCourse sounds like you'll have baby in your arms before you know it! How exciting xx

OnNaturesCourse · 25/11/2024 08:42

Thanks ladies - contractions still haven't made another appearance but I'm on the school run feeling like baby is going to fall out my butt. So, so much pressure.

I'm not getting my hopes up though 😂 I have a day bed appointment later today anyway so it would tie in too nicely if it were to happen today lol.

Here's hoping!

I'm currently bouncing on my ball at my desk hoping things will move too lol I am so over this pregnancy. Baby is currently trying to claw and kick her way out.

Also in my total nesting panic this weekend I have no less that 15 parcels arriving from Amazon today ranging from spare baby monitors 🙄 to colostrum syringes to even more muslins. Husband is going to kill me.

OnNaturesCourse · 25/11/2024 09:20

I do need to do a amazon haul as well - I suddenly feel very unprepared. (I've been waiting on payday but now wondering if I should have told baby the same thing haha)

Had a few tightenings since last post - but nothing painful.

Going to get in a warm bath and try not fall asleep - maybe relaxing will help things along. Sleep hasn't been great!

Twinkletwinklelil · 25/11/2024 10:50

@OnNaturesCourse sounds positive!!
I also lost a whole load of my mucus plug yesterday!
maybe we’ll be birthing at the same time!! Fingers crossed xx

OnNaturesCourse · 25/11/2024 11:24

@Twinkletwinklelil oh that is exciting - was yours quite a lot? I had a 50p size on my liner at first then I wiped and there was just tonnes of it 😳 I'm talking it was going everywhere. Then I kept getting bits on my liner for a hour or so before it stopped. (had to keep changing my liners!) Then it started up again a little while ago but just back to very small 5p amounts.

Firsttimetrier · 25/11/2024 12:08

Just had my 34 week midwife appointment and baby is quite engaged, more so than 2 weeks ago.

My first didn’t engage until 37 weeks, so hoping this means I’ll go into natural labour and increase my chances of a VBAC! 🤞🏽

@OnNaturesCourse so over the last week I’ve had little bits when I wipe! Then yesterday a big gloop on my pad
today! I’ve had loads of it! I thought it was all gone but I kept wiping and it kept coming 😅😅
so that was TMI but I hope it helps!

OnNaturesCourse · 25/11/2024 13:13

Nothing TMI on these forums @Twinkletwinklelil and then dignity is left at hospital doors... Pregnancy is glamorous 😂

Nothing else from me, few tightenings and back and forth to the loo, colostrum is piling out of me as well, hungry but feel sick, super tired...

Got a growth scan later today so will see what baby is doing, or if my body is just being whacky

OnNaturesCourse · 25/11/2024 13:19

@Firsttimetrier what did your midwife say about baby being so engaged?

HelterSkelter224 · 25/11/2024 13:31

We're well past TMI at this stage!! 😂😂

CatCaretaker · 25/11/2024 13:33

Yes please, keep the TMI coming, it's good for me to know what is normal and what I'm in for in a few weeks time.

@OnNaturesCourse I can’t remember what measurement/term she used but he’s well into the pelvis, which makes sense as the last few days it feels like he’s scratching on my cervix when I walk and got intense lightening crotch.

Tbh, I don’t think it means much as I know they can pop back up again, but hoping he stays put and makes an early appearance before Christmas, or at least comes a few days after but before they start trying to induce me!

OnNaturesCourse · 25/11/2024 13:59

Is this your first? Sorry I forget.

I know first babies tend to engage and stay whereas the rest like to bungee in and out of there for a while. Lol

Twinkletwinklelil · 25/11/2024 14:00

This YouTube video definitely has helped me move on a fair bit! Plus instructor is 39 weeks!

Definitely the case for me! This baby is non stop bouncing about but head is def engaged. My first, I was in and out for reduced movements the whole week before I gave birth!

starryx · 25/11/2024 14:37

Sorry ladies I totally forgot to update. This has been a stressful pregnancy 😫 from baby having only 1 kidney to this lol.

I'm due a growth scan Sunday, baby is only just above 10th percentile at 34 scan which at the 28, 32 week growth scan he was doing perfect at 50th.

If his growth hasn't improved this time round I'll be induced at 37/38 weeks.
Which I'm now 36 +2
So it's just a tense wait till Sunday for me.

This is my second. My first didn’t engage until 37 weeks and he was back to back. This one has been engaged since 32 weeks and back to tummy. Just hoping he stays this way and doesn’t decide to pop back up or flip to breech 😂 🤞🏽

HelterSkelter224 · 25/11/2024 15:34

Anyone still working? I am seriously struggling to give a shit.

HelterSkelter224 · 25/11/2024 15:36

@starryx sorry to hear you've had a stressful pregnancy 😔 in my last pregnancy grown stalled at 36w and picked back up to 50th centile the very week after. Hope the growth picks up for you. Fingers crossed for Sunday 🤞🤞🤞

CatCaretaker · 25/11/2024 15:40

@HelterSkelter224 this is my last week, though I'm only at week 35. I saved up my annual leave. Maternity leave officially starting in 3 weeks.

Just checking back in since I forgot to come back after the health visitor query - she ended up getting her days mixed up, then had to rearrange and then eventually turned up 25 mins early - thankfully I'd blocked my work diary out longer than needed.
She was here for maximum 20 mins and asked if we had family local etc for support and explained what they do and the checks she would carry out on baby over the following years. Definitely was nothing to worry about thankfully!

Seems to be all go for everyone now, I am 35 weeks tomorrow and although I had a slight panic at 33 weeks that I was in early labour (turned out to be watery discharge combined with intense braxton hicks on top of pelvic girdle pain) all seems to be okay. Getting very sore now though and baby is measuring 90th percentile so extra pain is expected. Hoping I will get my elective section date at my appointment next week.

@CatCaretaker I also finish up this week on AL before ML starting 16th December.

@OnNaturesCourse how did you get on at your appointment?

Firsttimetrier · 25/11/2024 16:16

HelterSkelter224 · 25/11/2024 15:34

Anyone still working? I am seriously struggling to give a shit.

I’m only 34 weeks but go on annual leave on the 13th Dec and then maternity leave 3rd Jan.

I honestly given up giving a shit too 😂 especially as it’s that weird period where things are winding down for Christmas, I’m handing things over (although they can’t find a replacement for me atm), so it’s very close!

LilyJessie · 25/11/2024 16:30

@HelterSkelter224
I am really struggling to care but I have to do bits and pieces.
I'm just so over it all!!

Also, despite not having many bowel movements in pregnancy, have started to go for number 2 a lot more.
I'm only 36 weeks today, so not sure if that's a sign my body is thinking about doing something next week... I hope it is!!!

GammaTheGecko · 25/11/2024 16:51

I'm 37 weeks tomorrow, got 2 days left of work. They just found my replacement on Friday and because she's internal they're having me hand over now so it's suddenly got really stressful trying to show her everything in only 3 days 😣 also the fact that we're moving into my parents house this weekend is suddenly becoming very taxing and I'm so scared of going into labour before all my stuff is packed up
