How did people announce their pregnancy to the grandparents?
We would like to do it intimately but can’t think of any cute ideas for when we do 😊.

You would be pissed off? That's surely extreme. Something can be not to your taste without it having to make you angry, I would be a bit confused if someone decided to pass me their used pregnancy test, but if that made them happy, I can't see why I would have any strong negative reaction to it. I'm also a little confused that multiple people have referenced showing scan pictures as being the same as passing around a pee'd on pregnancy test? I have never heard of anyone in real life viewing scan pictures as some uber-private intimate thing that's weird to share with even your parents. I've been shown scans from siblings-in-law, friends, neighbours, etc.

I have to agree, I do find that really strange! All our friends and family (even my coworkers, now I've told just my department and LM) have asked to see the scan if we didn't use it to tell them, and even if we did family and my best friend wanted copies and friends without kids who I know aren't interested in them now or for a while have been excited to see it and comment on it. Definitely feels different than showing someone a colonoscopy scan or something 😂

Edit: I guess I would add, I have zero intention of ever sharing it on social media or anything like that so that is a line I'd draw. But that's more to do with how I feel about our child consenting to be posted online etc rather than distaste!

Just wanted to Clear up because it seemed to stir up a lot of people on the thread, firstly I assumed by grandparents she meant baby's grandparents, as in her mum and dad. So with that thought, yes. I gave my mum a used pregnancy test, it was a clear blue digital which had a cap on it. Within a box with a baby grow.
My mother is my best friend. She's seen me in every which way possible, I'd never think of her being highly offended by being handed a stick I'd pee'd on when the woman birthed me herself, and she infact loved it.

My family have also requested a scan photo for themselves at every scan we've had.
Which we've gladly done. Maybe some families are different, ours is very tight and we're not prudish about things.

Infact, if I wasn't having a csection my mum was going to be my second birthing partner. If she could have been there for that she would have in a heartbeat. And if she can see and witness that, she won't be upset about a little pee on a stick which is covered.

I find it bizzare how outraged people are by that.

I hope OP found a special way of telling her grandparents to be through all the noise.
