Hi, update
Today was scan day at EPU, between my last post a week ago and now, tests are still strong positives and my symptoms are rising (nausea througout the day, mild cramping front back and sides, peeing more, breasts are bigger, tender with darkened nipples, and the bloating, well I look 6 months pregnant! Oh, and im constipated, which is very rare for me)
The sonographers first words were "I cannot see a pregnancy" as you can imagine I burst into tears, what with my strong positives and symptoms I expected to see a little bean thinking I was 7 weeks since last period.
She continued to check elsewhere suggesting it all looked ok, nothing concerning and with no pain caused by the probe wand, she was not concerned of an ectopic, She diagnosed a PUL and sent me for bloods, to repeat again Saturday and I will have those results Monday. She suggested it could also be too early to see anything and I may have ovulated later than I thought (I have PCOS). Or I have had a completed miscarraige which I wouldnt have thought i'd be getting strong positives and increasing symptoms almost 3 weeks from what could have been a miscarraige bleed especially if I would have only been so early on.
Reviewing my scan notes, it was confirmed my endometrial thickness was at 6.9mm, and there was mild free fluid in my pouch of douglas - if any experts could advise on this?
Whilst we are hopeful with my symptoms that Mondays results will show rising HCG, leading to a further scan and then showing a viable pregnancy, we are also losing hope of a successful outcome (we had an ectopic pregnancy which resulted in a natural miscarraige a year ago).
I have just sent my partner to the pharmacy to get a digital clear blue to state how far along. I plan to do first thing in the morning. With these results, it would indicate if I am infact too early, or if this is a higher result it would indicate a true PUL.
Whilst I wait to return for more bloods and wait on those results, has anyone here had a similar experience with a positive outcome?
TIA for all your support x
