Delayed bedroom for baby

I am expecting my first baby in March, and my partner and I are planning on moving house in July, when our baby will be around three months old. Because of this, I have not created a nursery in this current house (I have a chest of drawers and a changing table for her in the spare bedroom, and her next to me crib in our room). She obviously won’t really need a nursery for first three months anyway, but I feel so awful and unorganised by not having one. I didn’t feel too bad about it, until I saw threads and forums about pregnant ladies putting their heart and souls into their baby’s nurseries. I’m sure I’m just being hormonal and overthinking it, but I will be fine without a nursery until we’ve moved house won’t I?

Hey! My name is Jessie and also having our first baby in March 👋🏼

We have not done any prep yet for baby nursery.. We moved into our house last year and fully decorated it then… We both work from home so what will be the baby’s nursery is currently our office… We are not planning to sort the room out until the spring/summer time. We will be getting a cabin for the garden to move the office into.. then all we need to do for the baby nursery is get a cot, changing unit and wardrobe.. everything else is just decor.. We also haven’t found out sex of baby, so once baby is here we can decorate room with pink or blues etc..

We feel absolutely happy with this decision! There’s lots of other things to worry about before then.. Baby will be in with us for first 6 months anyway so plenty of time!

Dont stress, and don’t compare yourself to others! Do what is right for you! 💕
