4 weeks pregnant

Hi,
im currently 4 weeks pregnant, very anxious as I’ve had previous miscarriages. Is anyone else 4 weeks pregnant or early pregnant that wants to go on the journey together?

@Georg1994 thats good and yes it’s so hard I’ve been good this week haha even though it’s just started and I haven’t tested

@Couggstar123 Haha that’s crazy! Congratulations! And yes I found mine spiked more in the evenings too and it’s very hard I was testing so many times In one day but this is the first week I’ve thought to have a little break but we will see how long it lasts

I think the only person who wins with testing is CB! It’s like “reassurance “ scans which offer a brief moment of reassurance followed by more panic while you wait for the next one !

@Stelladaisy I 100% agree with you! It’s just hard at the same time 🤣 it’s like a cycle

It’s nice to know we are all in it together and feel the same way. It’s so easy to get addicted and it ultimately doesn’t change anything. I definitely feel a lot more zen not doing daily tests. I was so tempted to do a CB that tells the amount of weeks but they are notoriously unreliable and I think it would send me into a spiral if it didn’t say what I was expecting.

Ohh it’s a funny old thing isn’t it. Should be so exciting and happy and it’s just such a worry. They don’t teach you any of this in Sex Ed when they are telling you if you look at boy you’ll get pregnant!!

After trying to sound sensible and saying I won't test I have and I'm worried it's too faint :( I feel exhausted tho and I'm peeing loads but should be 5 weeks tomorrow is this test dark enough 🫣

@Georg1994 I wouldn’t worry about it all, personally I think it’s still a dark line and a positive is a positive! It could be due to the timing, if you drank to much, if you not long had a wee ect.. you got a positive and your getting symptoms. Have you thought about getting some bloods done for peace of mind (if that’s an option) or a private scan at 6/7 weeks?
But just don’t try and worry or stress and just relax and enjoy the moment🥰 (I know it’s hard because it’s all I’m doing but positive thinking)

@Babyno2onway thank you it's very hard after loss, initially I was so excited but now unhelpful thoughts are creeping in, I was so chill before my MMC even when I lost all my symptoms I told myself all was fine to later find out it wasn't and I just felt like a big dummy for not realising, I think I won't test again now as it has made me feel worse! Very luckily my hospital are giving me 6,8&10 week reassurance scans so I have one on the 22nd 🤞praying it's ok, thank you for your response it's put me at ease ❤️

@Georg1994 yes I understand completely because I am the same and I think we are never gonna not worry, we’re doing out motherly job already 🥰and please don’t ever feel like a dummy for not realising because there is no way you could of known symptoms or non every pregnancy is different. I’m very happy your hospital is giving you more scans, not long to wait for your first one 🙏🤞🏻please update after your scan & your very welcome we’re all in this exciting journey together ❤️

no news here ! Have an appointment on Wednesday - just over 6 weeks now - I can’t believe how long it’s going to take to get to 12 weeks - I’ve only known I’m pregnant for two weeks - another 6 weeks is three times this - and seems like a life time away

Same here 4 weeks yesterday previous ended in MC at 7 weeks took 2 years to get pregnant again just as I was starting IVF

@Stelladaisy 6 weeks is fab! I’ve never made it that far so praying third times a charm! It does feel like forever doesn’t it but I’m sure time will start flying after 12 weeks! I keep telling myself 5weeks is 1/8th of the way there and it somehow doesn’t feel so long that way!

@LizzeyBenett fingers tightly crossed for you! Hope you’re not finding it too stressful, it’s so hard after baby loss and struggles with TTC! I’m drinking a lot of herbal tea as wine is my usual go to de-stressor! 🤣🤣

Hope you’re doing okay @Georg1994 i found the clearblue tests much less reliable and I would drive myself insane squinting at them and comparing them to pics of tests online! The variety from person to person and even pee to pee is crazy. I once did a test at 5am and it was pale and then did another one at 8am and it was practically a dye stealer! I work shifts so I think my body is confused a lot of them time 🤣

I'm 5 weeks 3 days I have a scan this Sunday 🤞 so nervous I don't really feel pregnant but my boobs are now sore and I'm still tired, I had a nightmare I had the scan and they said ther is nothing there 😭 let's hope I'm wrong @Couggstar123 thank you for keeping this wee Thred going it's helping me 🤗

Hi all, I've just tested positive as 1-2 weeks with clear blue digital (4 weeks pregnant). First time pregnant. Feeling nervous and overwhelmed. Too early to tell anyone so i have no idea what i should be doing. Ive referred to an antenatal unit and ordered some pregnacare. What now?

Congratulations- I think you can tell some people - my rule is if things went wrong who would you want to tell any way and then tell them your news. This whole veil of silence doesn’t help anyone, especially when you need support and have people who would love to be able to help you.

Hi, can I join you? I am around 4 weeks now so a little touch behind some of you. This is our second pregnancy- already got a toddler.

@Shootystealy congratulations!! Sounds like you've done everything I did with my first at this stage. It's such a bizarre feeling as you kind of just feel left in limbo for that first trimester I found. Your body is basically doing everything behind the scenes at this point, so just try to rest up and take care of yourself! Any symptoms yet?

It starts to ramp up into 2nd trimester with midwife appts etc.

Do you think you'll go for any private scans or just wait for your 12 week dating? I just waited with my first and think I'll do the same again. I know some people find them reassuring though or are just too excited to wait and see their little one! 💞

I agree with this so much. I found it much harder telling people about my MC who didn’t already know I was pregnant. This time I’ve told all my close friends and my immediate family as they are the people I turned to when I needed them. It’s a very old fashioned rule from when MC was taboo
and it’s not helpful for most people!

Even if everything is perfect 12 weeks is a verryyy long time to have no one to share symptoms/vent to. So much is going on…I for one need my girls 🤣

I'm not doing so well today, yesterday evening I noticed my boobs wernt sore at all and wasn't tired or ravenous like I had been, even a reduction in CM don't feel pregnant at all almost booked a scan for today because im so worried but I've got one on Sunday which should be 6+2 so thinking I should hang on til then but I just have a bad feeling 👎 I really hope I'm wrong tho I literally lost all symptoms, another thing I've been getting up to pee in the night but last night I slept through 😞

PLEASE do not worry about this. I'm currently 20 weeks after a previous MMC and the whole of first trimester was a whirlwind of symptoms coming and going and my anxiety through the roof! Symptoms cannot be the same at all times! Wishing you best of luck!

Have you called your EMU? They might scan you but it’s always risky as sometimes even with a healthy pregnancy there’s not much to see at around 6 weeks so can actually be more stressful. You could always call for advice. My EMU told me not to go by symptoms as they fluctuate so massively but I know how worrying it is when you just don’t feel pregnant anymore.

My symptoms change by the hour this time. I never have sore boobs in the afternoon and by bed time they are rattling! I’ve been driving myself mad second guessing so I really feel for you! Hopefully you get the reassurance you need soon. I find keeping busy and being kind to myself (daily Starbucks!) to be the best distraction. ❤️

@readingismycardio thank you I'm hoping it's fine I've had no cramps or bleeding so just hoping I'm wrong and it's just my anxiety playing tricks pregnancy after loss is a harder place to be than I realised, congratulations on your pregnancy I'm sure it is great knowing you have a good few milestones passed 🥰

@Couggstar123 yes I rang the unit the nurse said they had no appts today and to ring back if 'anything started before my appointment' or go to A&E if I was desperate for a scan (not doing that) which didn't fill me with hope she did say to do a test which I did and it was nice and strong line so hoping all is ok, I asked her if this is a bad sign and she said she wouldn't give me reassurance as there is no way of knowing 🙃 however I am off work today I am going to treat myself to some shopping and as you say be kind to myself 🤗 thank you already feeling less worried than this morning as I simply cannot predict the future or change the outcome of whatever may happen next

@Georg1994 a strong line is great news, defo try and keep positive…it’s so hard when you’ve experienced a loss. Sending you all my positive vibes for Sunday! You’ve got this!
