7 weeks and symptoms gone all of a sudden, dead scared of a 2nd mc

Today I feel lower than low and hopeless. Back in May, I had an mmc discovered at 9 weeks but baby probs stopped at 8 weeks. Exactly at that time symptoms started to fade and eventually went by the time I had the scan.
Fast forward to today, pregnant again at 7 weeks. I didn't have many symptoms to start with, very mild breast soreness and a weird taste in my mouth on and off. In the last week, mild nausea started with some food aversion. Yesterday symptoms seemed to peak and all of them were fairly strong in comparison.
Today I woke up with breast soreness that went completely during the morning, no nausea and no weird taste in the mouth.

It feels very much like history repeating itself and words can't describe how bad I'm feeling right now. I don't think I can bear another loss.. Don't know what I should do..

@LeopardLover Great news!!! Yes I was expecting a probability too but apparently they don't do that! Well I hope the rest of our pregnancies go smoothly 😊

@LeopardLover How are you doing? You must be past your 20 week scan now since you are a bit ahead of me?
I have got mine next week and of course I am very nervous. We had a 16 week scan at a fertility clinic 3 weeks ago and all measurements were perfect and nothing obvious was detected so I hope it is a good sign even though I know that they go into a lot more details at the anatomy scan!

@TTCbaby2023 hey hun thanks for checking up on me how are you doing? I have been living a nightmare. I went for my anomaly test on 30 August and whilst all was well with the babies my cervix was measuring 1cm so was told I need3d urgent stitches. Went hospital 31st August woke up to be told one of the babies sac had a hole in it and I was leaking fluid I went into early labour and had diabetes 3cm and coulndt leave the hospital I had to stay in bed and not move even for toilet. I was 21w +4d at the time. By next Monday 4 days later I diabetes 8cm but with my progesterone I was stable. I lasted to 26w and during that scan babies had no fluid left had left the sac and she was stuck in my cervix so was rushed for emergency c section. Both babies are in nicu and it's been a horrific time. 4 days after my c section I was rushed for emergency gall bladder surgery as well. So you can imagine what the past 2 months have been like. I came in 31 August and left the hospital on 10 october

@Vallef Oh my God, I am so sorry to hear of all the stuff you've been going through, that's horrific! I'm glad at least you managed to save the babies, how are they doing at the moment? My husband's cousin gave birth to her little boy at 6 months too and he is now doing great.
I really hope that the worst is all behind you now and that you can just concentrate on looking after the 2 little angels. Were you back in the UK or still in Greece?

@TTCbaby2023 Hello 🥰 I'm almost 22 weeks now, had my anatomy scan bang on 20 weeks and all was well but took the sonographer a long time to get the measurements and she pressed really hard. It wasn't a fun experience but I mostly down to her I'd say, she didn't have the best bedside manner 🙈

I can totally understand why you'd feel nervous but great all was well at 16 weeks! How are you feeling in general? What day is your scan? X

TTCbaby2023 · 29/10/2023 17:49

@LeopardLover I'm glad it went well despite your little one not being cooperative! It was the same at my 12 weeks, she was having a nap and just would move much. She was a lot more active at the 16 week scan as I was getting worried.

The anxiety although slightly better is still there and I am waiting on CBT session to help manage that. Physically though, apart from being bloated and constipated and a bit tired, I am actually doing ok.

I don't know whether this is anything but since yesterday I feel like I may have felt kicks? It's a sensation I have never felt before. It was like 2 kicks and this afternoon the same thing but for a bit longer. I hope this is the baby as I am so impatient to feel her. My scan is on Thursday. I haven't told anyone around me when it is as I quite enjoyed the time when no one knew. And in case anything is bad, I want to chose the time when to tell immediate family. Time is going so slow until then, it's incredible!

@TTCbaby2023 Good luck today! I can totally understand why you'd keep it to yourself. I also enjoyed doing that last time!

I hope everything goes well and you feel relieved and can relax more. And that your referral comes through for that CBT session! X

TTCbaby2023 · 02/11/2023 21:58

@LeopardLover Thank you for your message! I was so nervous before going. It lasted quite a while as she wasn't very cooperative. Everything went fine and the sonographer said she was growing beautifully (her words) but when I looked at the report, measurements are a bit all over the place. Head is on 20th percentile but abdomen on 86th and femur at 50%.. Not sure what to make of it, good thing I have an appointment with the consultant tomorrow. She was in breech position with her head right behind my belly button and I have heard that it can be tricky to get the head circumference measurement right. I was a bit annoyed as when I went to have a scan at 16 weeks all measurements were bang on time and on 50th percentile.
Did you have something similar at your 20 week scan?
