Hi all, well I’m gonna be 29 weeks pregnant at my wedding! Our wedding was originally booked for nov 23rd, but I would have been a Few weeks away from giving birth! I’m due dec 26. We wanted it in the summer but my partners paperwork won’t be back in time for it. So we settled for october. My question is has anyone got married when being this pregnant? When I went dress shopping I was not pregnant but I did ask the lady if I had a bump woukd I still be able to wear this dress and she seemed very confident in saying yes I 100% will be as something to do where it sits is perfect for a bump and also it’s corset so can go up or down a few sizes. It’s not a big wedding, 18 people in a register office then a sit down meal, just something small and intimate, I don’t want to move the wedding till after baby is here so I have no choice lol. Am I crazy? I’ll attach a pic of my dress now too so you can see if you think it’ll fit obviously I don’t know how big I’m gonna get though as I’m only 6 weeks now!

They are lovely dresses and more floating than your current dress but they all still have a waisted design. I'm sorry but I think you will need to think empire line - no waist at all because well to be honest at 29 weeks you won't have a waist. As a pp said you might get a waisted one to fit at the waist but then there'll be too much fabric around the bust which will fall badly. Oh and you will need to wear a bra - don't care what the shop staff will try and tell you about internal support - you will need a good supportive bra. For both comfort and fit.

Yes this. Waist will be long gone by 29 weeks !

I’m glad they will exchange op, but would they refund? There are pregnancy specific dress companies like Tiffany Rose. I was 32wk at my wedding and as you can see the dress had to be empire line. You can usually get away with certain types of non maternity clothing in early stages but by 3rd trimester that’s when maternity clothing is needed.

we found out we were pregnant 2 days after getting engaged 🤦‍♀️, we did get married when pregnant, probably around 4.5 months. I wore a white wrap dress and it was perfect as I suddenly popped the week of the wedding and I was able to let it out easily. I also found with both my pregnancies I was larger at night than the morning from water retention or something. I saw pictures of a friend who got married while pregnant in a formal wedding dress, beautiful girl but it was poorly fitted and looked uncomfortable. Good luck and congratulations!

Congratulations...I think you need a babydoll style, I don't see how that will work with a baby bump

OPhave you ever seen someone 29 weeks pregnant?

I think you've been conned by the shop if they're telling you a 29 week bump will fit in that dress.

It really should've been obvious.

This!

I got married at 28 weeks pregnant with a very large bump!!

It was fine because I wore a maternity wedding dress with an elasticated waist and I felt radiant. A corset would never have worked! I'll post the link
