HELP WITH TEST POSITIVE OR FALSE DUE TO MEDICATION

Hi really hoping for replies as I’m freaking out
currently about 4 days late but had taken 2 microgynon pills (don’t take them regularly it’s due to me and my partner being on holiday and didn’t want a period) I kept feeling period like pains the bloating super bloating!!, back aches lower abdominal pain and just urghhh my reason for taking the 2 microgynon as I thought period was coming but my main symptom is huge warm swollen tingling boobs and the most sensitive nipples known to man!! No sickness or anything feel quite hungry at times (not usually me) so my partner suggested we get a test while we are on holiday anyway 🤦🏾‍♀️ after what feels like a MILLION tests later they are all positive!!!! However this is where it gets tricky I had taken 2 of my anti sickness pills due to a buggy ride (was awful bumpy and hadn’t done a test at the time) my anti sickness tablets are called Prochlorperazine 5mg and I took 2 that day which was Thursday that same day is when I done my test and was positive faint lines but positive so like anyone I ran out bought 10 more and out of all I only had 2 negatives I read online my medication can cause false positives now I’m soooooo in limbo as to wether it can be the medication I took (now Sunday) (stopped all medications since first positive )4 days ago could still be making false positives 😔 what are the chances does anyone know please please help all positives came up rather quickly and like mentioned the 2 I had negative were the covid like type with pipette

also I cannot get clear blue or digital out here!!! They are both different brands as you can see and test seems to be darker in the evening than first thing on a morning

@Catnary OP was worrying about thinking she's pregnant when she's not, to come onto the post & essentially say 'well don't get your hopes up because even if you are pregnant you have a long way to go' is insensitive to say the least. Your flippant 'hun' comment really sums it up. Why bother?

@timetosave @GoT1904 here's todays results like I said it's so strange as the morning pee doesn't seem as strong line as the evening we'll late afternoon say 5pm the pharmacist out here did say they don't stock the large well known brands out here so they may not be as sensitive (ordered 2 clear blue for my return home) so here are todays the morning is the Covid like test must say not a fan of those haha let me know what you guys think also my aunt who is a midwife (didn't really want to tell family yet but caved in for info) said she wouldn't have thought medication is likely to interfere with test and that maybe faint line again due to not a super sensitive test and early early stages

I'm Not familiar with the brand of test you have been using but I would have said they are very faint for being 4 days late for your period so was going to tentatively suggest this may be a chemical pregnancy OP and the fact that your test line is much lighter on your most recent tests would support this

Sorry I know this will only add to the worry but I prefer to be honest - I've taken hundreds of tests over the years and had several losses myself - the line should be more more obvious and there should be no ambiguity if you are 4-5 days late

@thestealthwee would I also have all symptoms along side this and dark lines on a night I'm also not familiar with these tests as I'm in a foreign country currently

Also can anyone have a guess how far I would be first date of last period was 24th December xx

@thestealthwee sorry for your losses I can't imagine the heartache, also silly of me the pictures I posted of the many tests were not in order in hindsight I soooo wish I had dated them I needed up using nail varnish however this was last nights test (think others in the picture that are all mixed up with dates not oldest to most recent msg look darker just due to being sat a few days I will post test from last night I think the purple brand may be better as the purple brand in the mixed photo from Friday was also quite a strong line but that chemist is quite far away I just happened to be there last night and got another done it around 8pm last night

That is the date of the start of my last period and I'm currently 5+2 😊 I have 28 day cycles so it would depend how long yours are as to how far along you are.

@northernmam congratulations to you!!!!! How are you feeling symptom wise and how are your tests looking as in colour and things ? It's soooo frustrating not being in the uk with all the brands we have there are only 3 brands here all of which I have tried and tested pardon the pun lol! Cannot wait to return home Friday

@Rainbowglittersparkle thank you 😊 I am tired, having vivid dreams, bloated, gassy and still crampy now and again. I'm also having trouble sleeping and I am hungrier than I have ever been 😂

I'll attach a picture of my test when I did them 4 days before my period was due but I've done none since as I don't want to fall down a rabbit hole of line progression (personal choice for me).

Why would you only take a couple of pills, you run them together if you don't want a bleed.

@northernmam ohhhh I soooo wish I was able to get hold of a well known branded test yours seem very clear I haven't heard of a single brand out here before feeling pretty much like yourself mild like pms cramps full of wind metallic taste in my mouth (only started today funnily enough both times I've got in the shower this morning and this even got a metallic taste in my mouth and when I spat (disgusting I know) but the taste was vile it was blood in my mouth unsure if that's a sign and my boobs my god they are warm tingly heavy and painful oh the joys lol no food adversions as of yet but yes I think more hungry than usual but appetite this evening has been minimal I think that could be due to over thinking all this situation thank u so much for your pictures really hoping it's just due to the tests being less sensitive that the lines aren't as bold xxx

@MaverickGooseGoose i don't usually use the pill it was used for bleed control whilst I was away

@MaverickGooseGoose sorry I clicked post too soon so basically I used two tablets as I felt like I was going to get my period and didn't want to while away but other half had suspicions before I even did and he bought the test (positive result) both were extremely shocked obviously since then I haven't taken any more

aww congratulations op! It looks like you’re pregnant to me!! This must be so exciting for you both, I’d be exactly the same as you if I found out I was pregnant abroad. It’s normal to question everything, however it seems more likely you are pregnant than not. It’s hard to get a false positive. Considering how happy you and dp are, it’s the best thing. I wish you both all the best.

I know what some of the other posters mean, I.e. miscarriage before 12 weeks (I had one at 9 weeks then another pregnancy 2 months later which resulted in my lovely boy). But really, please don’t feel pressured to focus on any negatives. It can drive you mad otherwise. Enjoy this lovely feeling. ☺️

@BloodAndFire yes in my original post I posted the medication listed in your post this is what has lead to my worry and confusion of hoping it is not a false positive, @northernmam I really hope so as I do not know if I would have these symptoms if it was a chemical pregnancy as I only found out what this one upon all the worry searching I had done during the night as it was 12 years ago I last done all this I am 33 now and feels like I'm more worried now!! 😂xx @Ruffpuff awah thank you very much for your understanding to my situation and worry and so so sorry for your loss and congratulations on your little one :)

That one looks good OP, I think you can rest assured that you're pregnant, but you'll hopefully feel better about it once you get home & test with a UK brand for comfort

Thank you so much this is this afternoons test as this morning I was super busy and didn't take my test to the beach! So this was this afternoons (had about 4 pees prior and quite diluted due to morning coffees and water) feeling quite good today not so much bloating and cramps xx
