Well this is scary! You’d think after 2 children already I’d know the signs! But nope! Only just found out in preg and going from last time me and hubby done the deed I’d be 30 weeks! Got to get onto midwife’s tomorrow morning and get a scan booked asap! Somehow find a way of telling the hubby and other kids and the rest of the family! I didn’t plan any more kids but obviously this 1 had other ideas! Oh and I was on the 12 week depo jab!

He’s beautiful! Congratulations x

MavisFlump · 27/01/2023 06:52

Isn’t that so precious? 🥰
Many congratulations OP!
I delivered a 53 year old lady, grandmother to 8, who’d come in with ‘appendicitis’. Her husband fainted when he was told, cracked his head open and had to be admitted.
The poor woman was in complete shock when she delivered a 10lb baby boy!

Tileuh · 27/01/2023 07:02

He's gorgeous!! Congratulations

Twittens · 27/01/2023 07:29

Ahhhh so beautiful, thank you for sharing your happiness with us all… now time to squeeze in some rest and relaxation before the six newborn phase begins… my absolute favourite part of the last month of pregnancy was undoubtedly aquanatal classes… bliss…well except the getting dried and dressed part…🤣

SquigglePigs · 27/01/2023 07:31

Congratulations OP! So pleased everyone is happy for you. Your two kids sound adorable. This little one is going to have wonderful older siblings!

This happened to my best friend.

We were having a general catch up on the phone and she mentioned she had a drs appt the next day because her ibs was giving her bother. I told her "be careful at the drs. I had a weird dream this wk that you were pregnant." She laughed and said "it's crazy. You need to have sex for that and I haven't in ages." We laughed about it and finished our call.

Next day, she called me back. She had been the drs and they found something. She was pregnant. After cursing me for a bit about causing the pregnancy with my dream, we were laughing about how she didn't realise. She went for her scan and she was 30 wks.

She was getting her head around everything and started buying everything she needed thinking she had about 10 wks. She was wrong. She was shopping in the supermarket and she went into labour. It was 4 weeks after finding out she was pregnant. She had a tiny little boy, with no nappies or clothes small enough for him. She was crying on the phone in shock, so I told her I was on my way but I would stop off and get her some things on the way. I stopped off at mothercare and got her premature nappies and clothes. At the hospital, her baby was so tiny. She was crying and in shock. From finding out she was pregnant to holding him in her arms took 4 weeks. He is now a crazy 3 year old keeping his mummy on her toes and she loves every minute of her surprise.

Congratulations OP.

Congratulations OP!

It’s impossible to imagine how this happens but I’ve read/seen about it a lot. There was a programme called ‘I didn’t know I was pregnant’ a few years ago and most of the Mum’s weren’t first timers either.
Also, some of them have completely flat tummies right til the end. Crazy!

I bet you’ll suddenly notice lots of symptoms from now on. The brain is so powerful.

Cuppasoupmonster · 27/01/2023 08:19

I don’t disbelieve these women whatsoever, it’s just my own pregnancies have been so obvious I would personally find it hard to wrap my head around this happening to me! That said I’m currently 30 weeks and the symptoms have been 😖 in a way I would love a surprise baby without the weeks of vomiting and peeing!

Look at his previous little nose!

My two pregnancies were genuinely the worst times of my life. These posts always make me jealous because I'd love another one but I can't go through it again. I'd love to do it without realising!

CristinaNov182 · 01/02/2023 09:56

@Vicki3007 wow, you’re due earlier than me and this has been such a slog. But on the other hand I don’t think I’d want such a surprise 😂

good luck, hope you have an easy labour x

How are you doing? He could be here any time! Are you prepared?

Sugarfree23 · 12/02/2023 11:17

@Vicki3007 LOL 😆 do you think they didn't want to say, "eh you look pregnant" incase of massively offending you?

I can hear howls of laughter about this forever.

Vicki3007 · 12/02/2023 21:39

Still no sign of baby, I think we r prepared now lol 😂 I’m 37+4 now so could be any time! Got consultant booked for when I’m 39+1 so if he’s not here by then I’ll be booked in for section! Any top tricks for getting him out would be great! My first was born day after due date, 2nd was induced at 38 weeks and took the full 5 days to work coz of GDM So not really got a pattern to work from x
