Has anyone ever vomited in a public place during pregnancy? I'm 5 1/2 months and got sick in tesco about an hour ago most embarrassing experience of my life, I'm still crying about it, i tried to make it to the toilet but it was the other side of the store I had My hands over My mouth and the sick was coming out from between my fingers and getting all over my coat I had no choice but to drop to my knees and let it out and it just kept coming and coming and also came out through my nose even when there was nothing left I kept heaving and wouldn't stop I never been more embarrassed in my life 💔

How horrible for you. 💐 I always carry plastic doggy bags with me in case any family member gets sick, I’ve been doing it since before they were born and my children are teenagers now! They’ve been helpful on several occasions!

If you became “seriously unwell” from seeing a bit of vomit as a child, then your mental health was already so fragile that problems were unavoidable.

It’s not ok for you to come on the OP’s thread, who is pregnant and unwell and seeking support, and make her feel worse. This ain’t about you. Buzz off and start your own thread. Perhaps someone may be interested in it.

What a kind soul you are 🙄🙄🙄

That's your emetophobia talking. For the vast majority of people, seeing someone throw up isn't exactly fun, but it's not in any way traumatic. At most it's mildly unpleasant.

People have bodies. People get sick. It happens. It's really not on to project your own issues on other people and try and guilt trip them for vomiting in public. I have a friend who is having chemo right now and as a consequence sometimes throws up in public, and if you laid this guilt trip on her... I would not be kind to you.

I agree. The post was peppered with insincere ‘bless you’s but it was designed to make the OP know exactly how horrified the emetophobic poster would have found her.

@Munches you have been unkind.

What are you doing hanging out on threads about vomiting if you’re phobic?

Telling the OP it would be horrific for people? That’s not what she asked. She asked had it happened to anyone else.

Start your own thread about your problems if you feel the need to share them.

Awwwh, I really feel your pain. Straight after my 16 week midwife appointment, we dashed to sainsburys to buy dinner and made it back to the car before i suddenly and violently threw up out the car door onto the car park floor haha SO AWFUL

To make it worse, my pelvic floor is terrible and I peed on the car seat due to the violent vomiting hahaha (I can laugh now thankfully)

We also thankfully have leather seats and my husband is very understanding, and able to make me laugh about things after crying a lot haha xxxxx

It feels terrible now but one day you will look back and laugh at this. Pregnancy does insane things to the body so beware and all that but take heart it won't be forever.

As I said upthread, I still carry bags even though my children are teenagers! It just makes me feel better knowing that whatever happens, I’ve got a receptacle. 😂 Definitely carry some for the rest of your pregnancy, OP, so you know it will never be quite so awful again.
