Faint Positive?

Previous thread today - 4 days late and was testing negative. I haven’t tested on my first urine of the day on any tests. But this afternoon I THINK i’ve got a faint positive, so used the same urine sample to do digital and it took ages (thought it was broken tbh) and come up ‘not pregnant’. I have attached photo’s underneath. My friend also then darkened my photo and it is a lot clearer. What would you do going from here - Test again in a few days with first urine of the day? Wait till a week or so?

@cgwx the standard digital will show positive a few days later than the frer. I see you said you wanted a digital to keep though but this won’t happen as they only display the result for around 24 hours then the screen goes blank

cgwx · 01/01/2023 20:11

@allgoodthings84 ah ok :) and OH RIGHT! can tell i've never used digitals can't you lol

@cgwx it’s the reason I don’t like them as really wanted to keep the one I did when I was pregnant with my daughter and was gutted when I realised 😂

cgwx · 01/01/2023 21:35

@positivethoughts1 lol 😂 never mind! I’m gonna wait to buy one of them anyway as they are like super expensive

Just to update everyone - brought another test, to come home and have a slight pinky bleed. So maybe the start of AF

Hi can anyone tell me if they see a faint line I dont know if it's my eyes playing tricks on me this was 10dpo I know abit too early to test but I couldnt wait! I'm going to wait a few more days and test again

Faint Positive?
allgoodthings84 · 02/01/2023 15:16

@cgwx hopefully it doesn’t get any worse as slight bleeding early pregnancy can be normal

allgoodthings84 · 02/01/2023 15:18

@Nova89 you will be better off starting your own post. FWIW I can see something but it’s too faint to tell whether it has colour or not and once the test is taken apart it’s invalid so if it’s clearer to see with the casing off then it could be an evap or too soon to see.

TheShellBeach · 02/01/2023 15:19

OP - that faint line when your period is four days late generally means you're having a chemical pregnancy.
You will probably start bleeding in a day or two. Sorry.

TheShellBeach · 02/01/2023 15:20

@Nova89 that looks positive.

Ah - just saw this update.
Sorry OP. Definitely seems to be a chemical pregnancy.

That's invalid. Not supposed to take them apart

Hopefully doesn't result in a chemical x

cgwx · 02/01/2023 15:23

@allgoodthings84 I mean it is ridiculously slight and i normally have heavy periods, so did think maybe implantation bleeding. But this late on? Wasn’t sure. Thought may just be AF

OP posts:
cgwx · 02/01/2023 15:26

@Emmamoo89 i’m thinking maybe because of how ridiculously faint the line was and how many negatives i had previous.

At four days late the line should be very obvious, @cgwx
The only other possibility is that you ovulated late, but my guess is that this is a chemical pregnancy.

cgwx · 02/01/2023 15:33

@TheShellBeach lines aren’t always obvious at 4 days late just depends on your body. But i do think it could potentially be a chemical, because i’m 5 days today and the spotting is so faint. But then i know implantation bleeding can happen anywhere between 4-8 weeks. I will just have to wait and see. It’s definitely different to my normal periods thats for sure!

I had spotting in early pregnancy with both DC. There isn't really anything your Gp can do what ever the outcome though anyway.
Have you tested again today?

cgwx · 03/01/2023 09:36

@1000yellowdaisies did you? I just wasn't sure whether it was worth speaking to someone to see what they say. I mean the test was so faint like barely visible. I haven't, was gonna wait a few days before i did another one.

NalaNana · 03/01/2023 11:15

You could call the GP to register the pregnancy, then even if it is a chemical pregnancy it will be on your record. I doubt they would do anything other than to tell you to wait and see as it could well be implantation bleeding. In my experience they won't do anything until 6 weeks! Wishing you luck OP ✨

Mama2023 · 03/01/2023 12:18

@cgwx my FRER looked like yours and so I did a CB 6 days early digital and it came up ‘pregnant’ It takes a while to show up on a normal CB digital. Also, just to let you know, the battery will die in the digital so you won’t be able to keep that. I kept my FRER

allgoodthings84 · 03/01/2023 12:38

@cgwx they won’t do anything until after 6 weeks as nothing they can do with a chemical they will just tell you to take a test in a week and contact them if still positive then. I had a CP at nearly 5 weeks in October then again with exactly same timing in November and just had to let it play out. I started bleeding pretty quickly after the spotting started and my lines never got dark they were faint at 14dpo then even fainter 16dpo then 18dpo started bleeding and negative tests.

if you haven’t taken a test for a few days I would take a test after a hold today or in the morning as it should be darker now if all ok

No i didn't speak to my gp about spotting. They wont do anything and there isn't really any advice they can give. Even when i had my 1st mc at 9 weeks they didnt need to see me or do anything.

But lets keep positive! My spotting was totally fine. I would test again tomorrow with first wee of the day. Its horrible waiting - i have everything crossed for you!!
