Starting to stock up on stuff for my baby is child's farm or johnsons washes and moisturisers better?

@gawditswindy - luckily Ds was potty trained at 2 this summer, before starting nursery this Autumn. So they haven’t had chance to need to smother butt in nappy cream. We used reusable nappies, which I don’t know if helped but he really never got nappy rash

@AttilaTheUOkHun well i have about 5 bottles of child's farm wash and 5 bottles of baby moisturiser, so far and next time I planned to go see it any of thr aveeno stuff was on sale everything is expensive I want to stock up on absolutely everything before the baby is born

5 bottles is loads. Honestly that’s over a years worth. I think we maybe used 2 baby soap/shampoo combos the first year

And we never needed or used baby moisturiser.
Used baby oil (weleda) the first 2 months after bath as very dry skin, as midwife said oil don’t use cream.
Then he’s never needed moisturiser. They shouldn’t need anything if your using a bath or soap product that isn’t drying skin out.

Both of these brands have loads of chemicals, best avoided especially with a young baby.
We use weleda or lansinoh body wash and shampoo, but we didn't use soap for a very long time probs till about 9m/12m. Water was fine. For moisturizer, coconut or sunflower oil.

bear in mind that weleda and other 'natural' products contain a lot of known common allergens (lanolin, calendula, citronella etc)
if they agree with you they work well though.

5 bottles? That'll last you the next 8 years. No need to stock up any more.

Well I agree with pp that will last about 8 years. You don't need to douse baby in all this crap. We've never used moisturiser.

Everyone recommending Aveeno. Have you tried Apoderm? It’s also made of colloidal oats. Same results without the ever increasing Aveeno price tag

Mine were both sensitive to petroleum distillates which rules out the vast majority of products.

Burts bees and Neals yard were my go to’s. Still use them now tbh.

Child's Farm OP! It's the dogs buttocks. Don't like any of their kids range, just the baby's range

Brilliant stuff and their moisturiser? Just wow. Wouldn't use anything else. I do judge when I see mums using cheaper stuff and then complaining their child has bad skin, when they haven't tried something a bit more expensive
