Is all day morning sickness an indicator of twins?

I'm currently 9 weeks pregnant and I've had "morning sickness" all day and evening. I've spoken to some friends and the only ones who have had the nausea last that long, have had twins. My nans sister had twins and so did another distant relative, so I was just wondering if anyone on here has had similar all day morning sickness and if so did you have twins? Thanks

I had all day morning sickness with all of my kids. No twins here

KangarooKenny · 13/09/2022 21:38

No.

JaneLC · 13/09/2022 21:41

no - I was ill all day with boy only mornings with girls

nomistake · 13/09/2022 21:42

It was for me!

Rowen32 · 13/09/2022 21:42

No - ill all day - with all pregnancies - no twins

cravingmilkshake · 13/09/2022 21:43

It was for me!

lunar1 · 13/09/2022 21:43

Not for me, I was still vomiting the day they were born with both my single pregnancies!

golddustwomen · 13/09/2022 21:44

Not for me either, all day and night sickness 2 pregnancies 1 boy 1 girl

RascafríaMom · 13/09/2022 21:46

Not for me. It was supported by underlying conditions like TMJ that just prolonged it daily. Almost nine months of morning sickness.

HappyAsASandboy · 13/09/2022 21:46

Not for me - I had twins but no sickness at all, and only very very rare slight nausea.

The only way you'll know if it's twins (or more!) is when you're scanned or they're delivered!

GlamGiraffe · 13/09/2022 21:48

No. Severe sickness all day, every day. One boy, one girl from 2 different pregnancies. Its horrible, I hope yours passes.

Twiceover · 13/09/2022 21:49

Twins but no morning sickness either.

Rtmhwales · 13/09/2022 21:50

Nope. I had relentless 24/7 sickness for 7 months until I gave birth to one DS at 31 weeks.

It was a sign of high HCG for me though.

loopycurtains · 13/09/2022 21:50

Twins here and minimal morning sickness. My singleton gave me hell on the sickness front.

bakewellbride · 13/09/2022 21:50

I know 2 people who were / felt really sick from the day they took the pregnancy test right up until they gave birth - no twins.

Hugasauras · 13/09/2022 21:51

All day with both in first trimester, both single pregnancies! Think it's just the luck of the draw how your body reacts to it sadly.

PinkPupZ · 13/09/2022 21:52

I have twins and was not sick at all with them.

NotRainingToday · 13/09/2022 21:55

Not for me either.
FWIW, increased chance of identical twins tend to pass through the male line whereas non-identical twins generally pass through the female line. So you could have a greater chance of twins if female relatives have had non identical twins.
Good luck with your pregnancy!

Waitingforever123 · 13/09/2022 22:06

No - singleton and twin pregnancy had all day sickness all through both pregnancies (only difference being started at 5 weeks with twins as opposed to 7 weeks with singleton).

Usernameisgone · 13/09/2022 22:08

All day and night sickness here! Just one baby!

EL8888 · 13/09/2022 22:08

Yep. 24 hour morning sickness, even when l get up at 2am for the toilet. Scan the other day confirmed twins

Cactuslockdown · 13/09/2022 22:09

No, twins here, hardly sick at all…. hangry? Yes!

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 13/09/2022 22:12

No. I had HG both times, throwing up day and night for the entire pregnancies.
Boy both times.

Purplemoons2827 · 13/09/2022 22:18

No. I have twins and had hardly any sickness at all with them. I also have a singleton and had way more sickness with them!

Mymoneydontjigglejiggle · 13/09/2022 22:18

Nope. My first I had 24/7 nausea and vomiting multiple times a day for 9 months. Second the same but it eased at 20 weeks - singleton. Third, same but eased at 17 weeks - also only one baby. No twins, all 3 are boys.
