Pregnant in the heat, anyone else wilting?

Sorry for yet another post about the weather but is anyone else really struggling in this heat?

im 38 weeks now and feeling a bit miserable with it, I am doing all the usual stuff to keep cool but am just so hot, tired, feel like I’m moaning all the time and find the smallest things like walking up the stairs exhausting

Anyone else with me?

Yes, 100%! It’s started raining here thank goodness but I’ve started having really mild contractions!!!

I think there’s a good chance I’m just dehydrated because I will be fucked trying to get to hospital in this heat so keeping legs closed for a few days yet!

Are they contractions or Braxton Hicks?

Contractions but they’ve gone now, I had a very long latent phase with my first pregnancy and no other symptoms so I am absolutely sure it’s not the real thing!

Miserable. 31 weeks 2.5 year old toddler too. The heat can piss off now

My 27 week bump feels so hot and heavy in this weather. It's apparently only 23 degrees outside now but still feels stifling inside even with windows open.

33 weeks. Currently cuddling an ice pack wrapped in a tea towel in bed. Cried earlier as I'm so sick of feeling hot. It is truly, truly awful.

Hope everyone is enjoying a cooler day today...I barely slept in the heat last night, was feeling a bit sick and rubbish earlier on but perked up a bit now. Had a few cramps so I'm hoping baby might be on the move soon!

Much nicer and cooler today but I went to lie down in my late lunch break and woke up 2.5 hours later - oops!! All the sleepless nights catching up I think

I’m sorry it’s so rough. I am at least glad that we haven’t been on the labour ward over those few days, small mercies right

@ShirleyPhallus 40 weeks today. I've had contractions regularly for the last 18 hours and feel like I'm getting nowhere as they're not getting any closer together, they're just all over the place 😫 just had a bit of a cry, but pulled myself back together now! It'll end eventually!

Just coming back to see how everyone is. @SunshineIndoors123 have you had your baby yet?

@ShirleyPhallus hi, yes, went into labour on Thursday, finally had my son on Saturday evening! So he took his time! We had a bit of a prolonged stay in hospital, a few problems for me and also baby needed to go under the lights for jaundice. Happy to be home now though! How about you?

Oh so at your last message you were going in to labour, that’s amazing! Huge congratulations!!! Enjoy all your newborn snuggles

Im still holding on! Will decline induction for a c section next week if baby doesn’t get a move on before then
