Pregnant in the heat, anyone else wilting?

Sorry for yet another post about the weather but is anyone else really struggling in this heat?

im 38 weeks now and feeling a bit miserable with it, I am doing all the usual stuff to keep cool but am just so hot, tired, feel like I’m moaning all the time and find the smallest things like walking up the stairs exhausting

Anyone else with me?

Ugh that's rubbish. When do you go on mat leave? Do you have a long journey /is the office significantly less comfortable than home? I'd be tempted to phone in sick tbh if they can't make a reasonable adjustment for you.

Really feel for you heavily pregnant ladies in this heat! I am only 15 weeks and feeling it, I WFH but my house is so hot I feel so unwell and tempted to call in sick 🤒

This is really shit, can you speak to HR? They have to make allowances for you being pregnant don’t they - occupational health type assessment stuff?

I'm 39+4 and quite cool now I'm at home with the blinds shut and the fan on. Had an appointment with the consultant in antenatal clinic this morning though and genuinely thought I'd pass out or throw up with how hot it was in the hospital. And that was at 9am, I shudder to think how hot it is now!

I'm exactly like @henni85. 11.5 weeks, with Crohn's disease and a baggy 3 year old with a cold. It's terrible!!
I'm currently lying down on the floor in the toddler's room with all the curtains shut praying for rain 😂

I am currently sat waiting at ANC and can confirm it's hotter than the sun 🥵

33.5 weeks and have officially turned into a liquid 😩. Love to stay mobile and go for walks/clean the house but it's too much! Feel sorry for the dog, he's gotta put up with my whinging 🤣. Hope you're all coping as well as you can x

27 weeks here and luckily WFH. I made sure I didn't have much to do today as I'm not in a the right head space for sounding coherent on the phone etc. I must have seen every hour last night, waking up and thinking "god it's so warm". Thinking of those you further along than me and feeling even more hot and uncomfortable 😬

@SunshineIndoors123 @TeddyTonks don't, I have the consultant tomorrow morning and it's always hot and stuffy anyway! Might actually melt.

I am 26 weeks and really struggling. Hormones are making me cry because of the heat! I have a cold wet towel on my body which seems to help me cool down

Something I’ve found massively helpful is putting a bowl of ice in front of a fan, it really does feel a lot cooler than just having the fan

@CoolBananas21 I cried in bed last night because I felt too hot! It's just after 4.30am and I'm back downstairs in front of the fan eating a cereal bar. Felt so hot I thought I might be sick and I can't go back to the bad old days of sickness!

Last night was not fun. Did manage some sleep with fan constantly on and pointed right at me, but tired this morning and have to work.

One more week after this one then I get to go on maternity leave!

I'm really looking forward to wednesday. Estimated temps have hovered around 24/25 which is miles better than today and yesterday.

Only 1 more day (of only 2😜) for most of you, then back to typical British summer weather! Stay cool!

I’m only 20 weeks but the heat has seem to of given sciatica from hell. I was already getting the odd twinge but nothing like this. This the heat is the culprit so staying home after my leg gave way twice causing me to fall over. Which in tune gave my OH a wobble. Roll on Wednesday!

I'm only 20 weeks but struggling as well. I don't know how you third trimester ladies are surviving!
Is anyone else living off ice-cream and picky bits? My diet is ATROCIOUS.

Today is dragging. Finding it harder than yesterday to concentrate on work. I think because of less sleep last night.

Also the weather forcast had the max temperature as 30, and it's already 31. I feel betrayed.

I'm only 11 weeks so nothing in comparison to what it must be like at 39 weeks but I've suffered from nausea and sickness really bad. This heat is making it even worse. I want to sleep through it and wake up tomorrow but can't sleep because I'm too hot! I have no appetite but know I have to eat, I can't just live off ice pops....

Honestly it's difficult to have a balanced diet in this weather....currently living off of toast, fruit and ice lollies at 33 weeks 😂 something is better than nothing, right?!

i feel pretty dreadful this morning, really sick and faint and I have shooting pains down my bum. Really hoping this isn’t the start of labour!!

Hopefully it's just the weather, how many weeks are you? Do you have someone with you?

I had something similar yesterday, was freaking out a bit walking around Asda...turns out it was wind 🤭🙈 pregnancy is very glamorous isn't it?!

Thank you I’m 38+4 so anything could happen! My first was 2 weeks overdue so I’m not expecting it just yet, but nursery has closed today so I have a toddler with me

luckily husband is WTF so has moved some meetings to help out

I’m 29 weeks and I’ve struggled! Luckily im
off work otherwise I don’t think I’d of gone in but I just can’t get cool. I’ve cried a few times because I’m so hot and uncomfortable so I really feel for you ladies who are much further along.
sleeping hasn’t been enjoyable but the babies muslins wet draped over me have been quite nice

Anybody else literally counting down the hours to cooler weather tomorrow? We should get some reprieve from about 5am onwards.
