37 years old and possibly pregnant! Need advice

So had weird symptoms and had no period, I'm 3 days late so I took a test cos I wanted to know if I should book a smear test as I was waiting for after period ... I'm guessing by this test I'm pregnant... did all you older 1st time mums have healthy pregnancies? I've lost 3 babies in the past so I'm terrified I'll lose this ... I'm also guessing this is defo not a false positive!

Quick update

DS was born Sunday 29th January (9 days late) via C section weighing 8lb 15.5oz ... all is good and I'm absolutely adore my little boy 💙

That is super lovely news.

I had my first child 2 months before my 38th birthday, and my second 3 weeks before my 41st! The kids are now healthy teens, I'm an exhausted 50 something!

Children really are the most amazing blessings. Mine are both teenagers now, yet I still look at them in wonder every single day, it's an amazing privilege being a parent.

Congratulations, definitely positive, those cheap plastic tests are best in my opinion. I did 5 days late and it came very dark. I'm also 42 years old 11 weeks pregnant, there are lots of older pregnant women here having healthy babies. Don't focus too much on age, yes you may be more tired or handle pregnancy differently than 20 year old but that is to be expected.
