Symptom-free pregnancy - worried!

Kroot · 17/05/2022 23:41

I have had 3 miscarriages in a row - all early.
First pregnancy, I had no symptoms and found a MMC on week 12 scan (stopped growing at 5 weeks). Second one was a chemical pregnancy and third one was a miscarriage between weeks 7 and 8 (saw heartbeat a week prior and then no heartbeat a week later). Third pregnancy, I had nausea and really sore breasts which then disappeared just before the scan on which we found no heartbeat.

I am now ?6weeks. I’ve not had any symptoms (apart from loose stools). So I’m naturally associating this with my past experience. So worried this will
be another MC.

I have a scan tomorrow afternoon and I’m terrified. I’ve said I won’t get ‘attached’ to this pregnancy but I don’t think that’s a thing, is it?

Anyone been in a similar position before?

Oh noooo I thought it was today!!! @Kroot

Moosh18 · 27/05/2022 11:09

@Kroot do you have any symptoms yet? I still have nothing x

Kroot · 27/05/2022 11:12

@Moosh18 not really. Random very very brief moments of nausea but that’s it. I keep checking my boobs but they’re definitely not sore.
Unnerving, isn’t it?

@Kroot @Moosh18 , hope you don't mind me joining in, I'm excalty the same, not a single symptom of pregnancy at all, I was so worried plus I have a dreadful pain in my side that just wont ease, so I was sent for a scan, I didnt expect much at all infact was waiting to hear the worst especially with no symptoms barr the pain and there was a little baby in my womb and a heartbeat, hope this helps ease your mind over the weekend. And I still have no symptoms at all.

kennetrose · 27/05/2022 15:03

joining this thread too. I'm 8+2 and still don't have any symptoms. I had a scan last week with my IVF clinic at 7+1 and all was fine, but I've booked a private scan tomorrow just for reassurance.

Do you get symptoms before your periods? I never get the progesterone symptoms other people talk about so I think I'm just not very sensitive to hormones. At least I hope that's it.

Moosh18 · 27/05/2022 15:13

@kennetrose so before my daughter my boobs would always hurt so so much before a period but not since havjng her! And they don't hurt at all in pregnancy! With her I had the worst sickness to the point I was in hospital for dehydration, this time I feel Nauseous at times and nothing else!!! Z

Very pleased your scan was good.

@kennetrose I get changes in my bowels just before my periods, but not much else.
Is this your first pregnancy?
Good luck for your scan tomorrow!

@Kroot It was thank you! Measuring on track at 8+3. Still no symptoms so I guess I’m just lucky? Guess no symptoms can be normal.

yes, first pregnancy.

Kroot · 28/05/2022 23:47

@kennetrose lovely! Very pleased for you. Hoping I can share equally relieving news come Monday 🤞

@kennetrose so pleased to see you on this thread, I remember you from the conception boards and were getting treatment from the same clinic for a while.
I never really got symptoms before my period other than the odd mild cramp. I'm 19 weeks (with an IVF baby also) and only just now starting to feel things stretching and heartburn which reminds my that I am pregnant but haven't had any symptoms at all so maybe your sensitivity to hormones theory makes sense - had a quick reassurance scan last week and baby is still healthy and growing on track. Honestly didn't even feel/ really look pregnant before a few days ago so please no one worry about lack of symptoms if you have never had them.

dreamyunicorn · 29/05/2022 09:23

@Kroot hope you are keeping busy.

Just to add some reassurance- I had no symptoms at all and last week began spotting (which happened at the same time with my mmc earlier this year).

I went to the epu and they found a 6 week baby with a heartbeat, I was overjoyed!

Let us know how you get on.

kennetrose · 29/05/2022 17:53

Hey @LondonladyTTC glad to see you’re doing well!

kennetrose · 30/05/2022 18:14

How did it go @Kroot? I’ve been thinking about you.

Kroot · 30/05/2022 18:36

Thank you ladies for all your messages.

We saw a sac, and flickering on the scan. The measurements put me at 6 weeks. The staff were positive but I’m not so sure. My BFP was 6th May, so I should be 7 weeks at the very least. This combined with the fact that it was just tiny flickering makes me doubt this pregnancy too.
I will probably have another scan next week to see how it’s developed. I hate this uncertainty, and really don’t want a fourth miscarriage. Feels so unfair.

OP posts:
Moosh18 · 30/05/2022 19:03

@Kroot did they say anything about the heartbeat? Mine just looked like a flickering but they said it was strong, you could be a few days earlier then you thought and theirs could be a few days later! At six weeks I didn't even see baby just a sac and a yolk! X

Moosh18 · 30/05/2022 19:04

Also I got a positive at 8dpo! So you could off too x

User79853257976 · 30/05/2022 20:56

Do you know how many dpo you got your BFP? Or how many weeks you should be based on LMP? Fingers crossed for you!

Kroot · 30/05/2022 22:27

@Moosh18 thank you, that makes me feel a bit better. Let’s see how this pans out. Fingers crossed!

@User79853257976 hard to know with LMP as I’d only had one period after previous miscarriage and it was a long cycle. Didn’t track ovulation this time, so just going by first BFP. I know the BFP was exactly then as it was negative the day before and on 6th May it was a very faint positive.

Ah I see. I’m sorry for your loss. Hopefully you will get some reassurance soon x

Notmyzoonotmymonkeys · 02/06/2022 16:46

@Kroot
So sorry for what your going through, I have had 4 miscarriages am now pregnant hopefully with my rainbow, I have seen a heartbeat at 6+1 then two weeks later I was brought forward a day so was 8+2 I have never in any off my losses did I see a heartbeat or a developing baby, have another scan on Monday where I should be 10+2 so just praying.

My rmc put me on 800mg of progesterone a day one in morning and one at night he's says it's standard practice for anybody with rm in the UK so I would inquire about it.

Moosh18 · 06/06/2022 11:31

@Kroot how are you doing? Xxx
