Hi guys!! So I might sound crazy, but I just need advice.. So I had sexual intercourse July 14th 2021 it was the last day of my period. On August 6th I got my period, but it was lighter. Only lasting four days or so when usually six. Few months go by I’m feeling fine I get my “period” even though it’s been lighter every month.. then come October I start feeling weird fetal movements like when I was pregnant I think to myself this is super weird… so I take a pregnancy test negative. I took a few pregnancy tests all negative. Then end of November I start to feel nauseous and just feeling off. For the month of December- Jan I have taken handfuls of home pregnancy tests all negative. But the sickness is still there and fetal movements constantly everyday. I call my Obgyn and they said they can see me but if I wanted to know sooner I can get a quantitative blood test to see, I got less then 2 so not pregnant, so I see my regular doctor get another quant blood test not pregnant… here I am super confused. I have been lightheaded nauseous, breast tenderness fetal movement everyday but it’s coming out negative every single test… I’m going crazy. I couldn’t get in my OB right away and I started feeling worse, and the naseousness wouldn’t go away and felt super super lightheaded couldn’t eat anything. Went to ER ran ANOTHER pg test on me negative, did an abdominal ultrasound of my liver, gallbladder kidneys, and found big gallstones in my gallbladder. But I still wanted an opinion for my OB. Finally see OB, and she does a urine test at office negative and a pelvic exam nothing. But I requested if I could have an ultrasound a few weeks go by, I get the ultrasound. She starts out with me emptying bladder and I did a transvaginal ultrasound empty uterus nothing, but I told her I would be much further along(the sonogram was jan17th) so she switched to belly still see nothing. But would an empty bladder cause not seeing a fetus? A week after ultrasound I had a ct scan done because they found gallstones in a previous ultrasound at the ER I had so they were doing a follow up on gallstones. In my results it states normal size uterus. Could an CT scan of my pelvis and abdomen miss a pregnancy if I were to be 7 months pregnant? I am so sorry for the long post but I’m just lost!! I have fetal movements in my belly everyday, and it’s uncomfortable to sit because I feel like something is sitting right in my upper abdomen. I have cramps even after period, with weird discharge daily, my breasts have been sore for 2 months and also heartburn everyday now and burping constantly!!! Also, feel tailbone is sore. I know it sounds crazy, but I just don’t understand why else I would be feeling these movements like I did when I was actually pregnant. Now it’s April, I had no period in march at all. Thank you for your feedback

I think if you were that far along when you had the scan regardless of an empty bladder a baby would've been visible. It does seem like the gallstone could be causing you to be so uncomfortable

Iwanttobeascoolasblueysdad · 01/04/2022 14:01

Not possible! With all those tests it definitely would’ve been detected!

Fleur405 · 01/04/2022 14:03

After my 12 week scan someone told me they can sometimes miss a twin. I asked an obstetrician friend about this and she said anyone who missed a baby at a 12 week ultrasound would be grossly negligent. On that basis it does not sound possible that your obstetrician would not have detected a pregnancy when you had the ultrasound.

InTheNightWeWillWish · 01/04/2022 14:13

You don’t really need a full bladder after about 20 weeks to detect a baby. I had growth scans at 26, 28, 32 and 36 weeks and didn’t need a full bladder for any of them. My 32 week scan, so about 7 months, baby was so big that they couldn’t see all the baby at one time. They had to follow the legs and arms to make measurements. Legs and arms were very clear on the scan, even to me. If they scanned you at 7 months they would have definitely seen something, there’s no mistaking that there’s a baby and there’s nowhere to hide it.

I’m sorry, it really would have been detected. I think you need to keep seeing doctors to find out what these movements are and if they could be your gallstones.

SouperNoodle · 01/04/2022 14:17

You are 100% not pregnant.
You definitely have something going on that needs investigation but you are not pregnant.

If you were, it would have been picked up on by now without a doubt.

Why are you so obsessed with the potential of still being pregnant when countless blood tests and scans have proved that you're not?
If it carries on, I'd suggest therapy because this isn't normal or healthy.

ChloeHel · 01/04/2022 14:21

If after testing and ultrasound there is no sign of a viable pregnancy then I’m sure there is no way you can be 7 months pregnant

All the symptoms you have mentioned are that of perimenopause. Maybe ask your doctor or OB to test you for that. The fluctuating hormones can sometimes make you feel pregnant and is probably causing you a build up of gas which is making it feel like fetal movements.

00Aybee · 01/04/2022 14:29

I had gallstones a few years back ( had my gallbladder removed jn the end) the nausea and lightheadedness could be linked to gallstones as it made me ill and got progressively worse . I felt sick all the time , certain foods would trigger sickness it would affect bowl movements and lots of other things so some very similar symptoms to pregnancy. You have maybe missed a period due to the stress of it all 🤷🏼‍♀️. As the other posts have suggested anything after 12 weeks would have been picked up. I went for a scan this Jan where I had my liver , etc checked as I felt unwell. When they went lower they saw a ( surprise ) baby at 12 weeks. I don't think if you was pregnant this would have been missed with the amount of tests you've had.

SecretDoor · 01/04/2022 14:39

Have you had sex since July 21? If not , and you had conceived then, you would be due around now.

The scans would have picked up a baby especially the CT

TheDaydreamBelievers · 01/04/2022 15:54

You are 100% not pregnant but sounds like something is going on and I hope you get to the bottom of it x

pumpkin45 · 01/04/2022 19:21

Could it be cryptic??

OP posts:
Iwanttobeascoolasblueysdad · 01/04/2022 19:44

No, because the scans would have picked it up. I think you can be very certain that you are not pregnant -hopefully the drs can find out what is causing the problem. What is your feeling about all of this?

lemonyfox · 01/04/2022 19:51

@pumpkin45

Could it be cryptic??
No, it couldn't be. You're not pregnant and, kindly, I think you need to speak to someone about this level of intense fixation on being pregnant when every possible medical assessment says you're not.

And a cryptic pregnancy is when someone isn't aware they're pregnant - which is the opposite of you insisting on being pregnant when you're not.

SunnySideUp2020 · 01/04/2022 20:23

You are not pregnant. Have you been pregnant before? 7 months is not something you miss on an ultrasound or CT scan. Or blood test. Or urine test. Or any other medical assessment.

I also think that it could be your gallstones.
But you need to speak to your doctor about the pregnancy obsession. It doesn't sound healthy.

SouperNoodle · 01/04/2022 20:43

Can I ask how old you are?

pumpkin45 · 01/04/2022 20:54

25

I have been pregnant, I have a two year old. That’s why this whole situation is weird to me!

welshweasel · 01/04/2022 20:57

A CT scan would 100% show a pregnancy of more than a few weeks gestation.

You are definitely NOT pregnant.

Please see your doctor for help with your mental health.

ChloeHel · 01/04/2022 21:34

No it isn’t cryptic. The ultrasound would have picked up a baby and fetal heartbeat at such a late stage. You simply need to accept that you are not pregnant, sorry OP.

Nurselife2020 · 02/04/2022 01:32

To put it kindly Op I think you may need to
speak to your Dr about your mental health as this isn’t a normal situation to be this fixated! My last period was July 2021 and I am now 38 weeks pregnant and no denying it!

You have stated you have had periods although light and maybe a little different. HCG tests are negative for Pregnancy
Blood Test are negative for pregnancy
Pelvic exam Negative for Pregnancy
CT is Negative for Pregnancy (foetus can bee seen from about 8 weeks )
USS is Negative for pregnancy (foetus can be visible from 5/6 weeks)

There isn’t anymore investigations that can be done to assure you that you are not pregnant and I don’t know what more you need/want to reassure you that you are definitely not pregnant. Even without any of those medical tests you would be around the same gestation as me (37/38 weeks) and you couldn’t mistake a pregnancy. You would be showing, seeing big big movements not just feeling them, body would have change drastically too.

I’m sorry if it’s something that you desperately want and are struggling to accept it but please do seek some support from your dr regarding this matter. Take care of yourself

CoalCraft · 02/04/2022 06:24

You are not pregnant. Something else is causing your symptoms (could be physical or psychological) and your medical team should be investigating that, but you are not pregnant.

Nikki037297 · 02/04/2022 06:40

No you can’t have all those pregnancy tests, blood tests, ultrasounds and CTS and miss a 7 month pregnancy going on. If the uterus is empty then there is no 7 months baby I’m sorry.

Iv bad gallstones and they caused intense wind for me and sometimes the wind passing the king the stomach can feel like movement in there. Gallstones also cause nausea and indigestion and all the things you have described. I had to have my gallbladder removed things got sooooo bad and I was constantly bloated and poorly then lost so much weight. It’s been gone 2 years now and I feel like a new woman.

Hugasauras · 02/04/2022 06:42

Definitely the ultrasound would have see if there was a baby of that size. It would be impossible to miss.

The 'fetal movements' could be gas, which isn't unlikely if you're having some digestive issues with gallstones, etc. I remember after I had DD, I had a lot of gas post-section for a couple of weeks and it really did feel like baby movements sometimes with the churning and popping!

Zonder · 02/04/2022 06:52

Did you ask anyone what else the symptoms could mean? It seems odd to keep saying you want to check for pregnancy when you know you're not and keep having symptoms of something. I'd want to know what the real cause is.

Hiddenvoice · 02/04/2022 07:42

I’m sorry op you’re not pregnant. All those tests would show it, even if you weren’t thinking you were 7 months along and maybe less.
Ultrasounds after 20 weeks don’t really need a full bladder to see the baby. At my 30 week scan the baby was so big that it couldn’t be fully seen on the screen.
My sil had gallstones and eventually had her gallbladder removed. She was pretty unwell with it. Intense pressure in her stomach, with really bad gas balls. She was sick and felt like her chest/ breasts hurt due to the pressure of it all.
The stress, worry and feeling so unwell meant she missed her periods and they became irregular.
Once her gallbladder was removed she felt so much better.
I think you need to go back to gp for further tests and investigations and fully get your gallstones checked.
Explain the intense feeling of being pregnant and try get some support for that but there are lots of other health conditions that can be mistaken for pregnancy symptoms so it’s important for you to get this checked.

Milamight · 02/04/2022 10:45

I had these last year, it was my liver. I was extremely poorly, swollen breasts, pain upper r abdomen, missed periods, nauseam
