3rd baby coming, terrified!

Hey everyone,

So I’m very early on in a very unexpected pregnancy and I am quite frankly crapping myself. I have two daughters who are 4 and 1.5. We are currently living with my parents while we save for a deposit and it’s going to push us back a bit which means us living here longer, which is fine but not ideal. I have days where I’m losing my mind with my two and I really can’t imagine having a third. I know I’ll love the baby but I’m just so, so scared.

Can any mums of 3 tell me it’s gonna be okay?

Thank you xx

I had a 6 year old and 4 year old when I found out I was expecting an unexpected third!!! I was honestly not happy about the situation right until she was in my arms. However, she made our family. Never a single regret from the day she was born. xx

@peonies1988 aww Thankyou 😘
I'm having a few niggles pains as we speak so hopefully I can come and give you an update soon 🙏

EllieJai44 · 01/03/2022 06:22

We are expecting our third, other two will be 3.5 and 1.5 by time this one comes, I have days where I worry and days where I tell myself it's all going to be okay haha

In regards to car we have a Citroën c4 Grand Picasso, it has 3 full sized seats in back that are Isofix and huge boot space! Which could also be 2 extra seats

@peonies1988 I turned 40 last year and was not expecting to have any more babies.. then #3 decided to pop up lol I'm 29 weeks now and on excited for it, I have 5 yo and 2.5 year old and yes some days are crazy and I think what have we done.. but when I see how lovely they play together and the bond they have. I cant wait to add another to our family. It is scary thinking how to divide your time and the logistics of school/pre school etc but we will make it work.

Congratulations xx

Just found out am pregnant with number 3. All happened very fast. Feel nervous x

feb2022 · 08/03/2022 08:47

Just an update to you all... I had my little girl on the 4th March, very fast and quite easy labour and she is absolutely beautiful!
So far having 3 under 4 is ok, very tiring but my heart has never felt so full
I've found it much easier than going from 1-2 babies so for anyone that is worried about going from 2-3 it absolutely will be ok, and you will do fine I'm sure xx

peonies1988 · 08/03/2022 09:02

Ahhhh @feb2022 congratulations 🥳!!! So happy for you. Glad you had a good labour and thank you so much for coming here to say this, that’s so thoughtful, especially considering how exhausted you must be ♥️ Sending love to you for these hazy newborn days. You got this mama 💪🏻

@peonies1988 check out Jess Hover on Instagram or YouTube - she has 3 quite close in age with a small gap between 2 and 3, and she posts lots of friendly, helpful and honest things about having 3 :)

Mum of 4 here eldest 10 and youngest 3 and also 7 weeks pregnant! In my opinion once number 3 came it was a doddle, the elder ones wanted to help out and they actually started being more grown up and responsible.
Regards to a vehicle, I have a Ford grand connect! It's the best thing I've ever brought! I can spread the kids out and they all have a separate dvd playing on the head rests. Grin

Congratulations by the way xx

I have 3, the 3rd was very much an unplanned surprise and I didn't cope well mentally. Had a horrible pregnancy feeling terrified and scared and sad and guilty and everything under the sun except happy.

Now she is here she is the absolute light of our lives. So easy and good natured and doted upon by everyone. I can't remember life before her (she's 5 months). I have actually considered having a 4th as I've loved having a 3rd so much...

I can understand why people wouldn't want a 3rd but sometimes life throws you a curve ball. You just gotta catch it! Grin

Good luck and enjoy!

Jockolgy · 09/03/2022 15:29

I have three. All young adults now…having a third child completed our family! The youngest is actually the wisest !

EverydayIsPJday · 09/03/2022 15:34

Aww this is a lovely thread. Congratulations OP. I am expecting number 3 at the end of September, I have two boys aged 4 and 2 ATM. Also feeling really nervous and flitting between 'ah it will be ok' and 'i hope were not putting so much pressure on ourselves' especially with all the financial worries ATM (energy etc) but I'm hoping we can muddle through some how. Absolutely adamant this is the last one though, the last 11 weeks have kicked my a*se! 12 week scan next week so I'm hoping that will refocus my mind abit to look at the joy of what's about to happen.

Goodluck OP.

You'll be fine with the 3rd.. just have faith in yourself! I'm sure your other children will be happy with a new baby around and you will see a difference in them.. I'm definitely not doing amazingly but I do try my best, that's all any of us can do...

My due date calculator says the 24th October, I have a scan on the 12 April,,, don't no if I can wait that long though 😀.. might try and push for a reassurance scan as I've had loads of miscarriages... I'm excited about having another baby but I think it's definitely the last for me. 5 has got to be enough Grin

rach2713 · 09/03/2022 20:43

I have 4 oldest is 15 then i have 3 girls 9 5 and 3. It can be hard sometimes when tbey don't get and fighting but other times its really nice when they are playing together. You will find your own little groove and routine and what workes for you ..

Alittlelost0 · 09/03/2022 20:47

Ah this is such a lovely thread! I just had my third, well he just turned 5 months actually but its flown! And I love having three. My other two are just 5 and 2 and play together so we'll and adore the baby. The only thing I would say, is that on threads like this I read previously people said it's better if you have some support around you and I would agree with that as I have none at all and a husband who works alot so I would feel like everyone got a better version of me if I had a little help every now and again! But that's motherhood with any number I guess I've just felt it more with three as I found two easy!
Hope you get used to the idea and have a happy and healthy pregnancy! Loving reading everyone's experiences here ❤️

Sorry to hear you don't have much support.. I also have no support, I recently moved homes so haven't made any friends yet, and my husband always works a lot! Having a little help would make our lives so much easier but like you said that's motherhood.. we all have to take the good with the bad. But all I ever think is that all the stress and worrying is worth it, when the kids are older and their all doing fantastic you'll look at them and think 'I must of done a good job bringing them up/ I did that'... I'm hoping that when I'm old and knackered and my kids are all grown up they'll be able to help look after me Smile I didn't have a good up bringing at all, so my kids get the life I never had. Never be hard on yourself, we all make a lot of mistakes and we learn from them,, Always here for anyone who need a chat or a moan.. xx

Hi ladies I am pregnant with number 3 and feeling lonely. My mum who has always been so supportive is now in her 70s with health issues and I don’t have any close friends nearby.
I hope to make more friends soon maybe through pregnancy yoga that I wish to start.
I am only 4+ 4 and nervous as have no symptoms at all. Xx
