Hand hold: have a 9 week scan tomorrow after 5 early pregnancy losses

I can't sleep. We saw a heartbeat at 6.5 weeks after some bleeding, so I'm trying to tell myself there'll be one tomorrow but I'm so nervous there won't be. I've still got symptoms, a ridiculous bump for 9 weeks and I haven't had any red bleeding for over 2 weeks so I have no reason to believe anything will be wrong other than it's never been alright.

So nervous.

Unfortunately there wasn't a heartbeat. I think I knew in my heart of hearts there wouldn't be. Call it mothers intuition.

Oh god, I'm so sorry. I wish there was something to say but I know there isn't. I've only had 2 mcs, since you've had 5 will they at least investigate?

I'm so so sorry @rainbowsandmagpies it's utterly heartbreaking.

If it helps, after the GP warned me of a long wait for recurrent miscarriage clinic on the NHS we went to Professor Regan. She was thorough and reassuring and after treatment got me to this pregnancy. I would 100% recommend her if you are able to get in to London.

Just sending the biggest hugs. It's so hard.

So devastating. Please please get some counselling as it was the only thing that kept me alive I think for a time.

The Miscarriage Association does some meetings too if that sounds useful.

Oh sweetheart, I'm SO sorry, from your description is sounded so hopeful. It's so crushing isn't it. Do whatever you need to, cry, go into a field and scream at the unfairness of life, eat ice cream.

Then push them to start investigating.

You're all very kind. Luckily I'm already known to the recurrent miscarriage team, so they've arranged for me to have my miscarriage as a day case. That'll mean the baby can be sent for genetic testing, which will also mean we'll find out the baby's sex. I haven't had medical management of a miscarriage before, little bit nervous. DH is being magical, it's always nice to have your life choices affirmed.
