I hope someone can please give me some advice.
I am 11wks pregnant with our 2nd baby & since Tuesday have suddenly lost all my symptoms.I saw my GP yesterday, who said that it was very odd,but unless I was bleeding or in pain, wasn't concerned & wouldn't arrange a scan.

Tonight I have started spotting & don't really know what to do.I am RH negative,so will need Anti D regardless of the outcome.

My midwife only works Mon-Weds & our Drs surgery is shut until Monday,by which time I will ber cutting it fine for my jab, which I need within 72 hours.

I'm not sure who to ring or what to do,especially if I start bleeding heavily.Do I go to A&E or the hospital I am booked in at & had my early scan at.

Sorry if this is a bit jumbled-I'm can't see the keyboard very well for the tears & can't think straight.I've already lost 1 baby & can't bear the thought of losing another.....

Only caught this thread this afternoon, so not in time to offer support, but delighted to read your good news Mirage. Take care of yourself and the little one.

MrsWednesday · 13/11/2004 16:54

Yippee! Brilliant news Mirage, so pleased and relieved for you.

MarsLady · 13/11/2004 16:59

Really happy for you Mirage. Praying that all goes well for the rest of the pregnancy. I had a scare with ds1. You remain in my prayers.

fisil · 13/11/2004 17:44

Oh mirage, what a relief. As someone who is currently (still!) going through this, I know exactly how you feel. I know I should take comfort in the fact that I only bled in one of my previous 2 pregnancies - the one that resulted in my beautiful ds, and not at all in the mc pg - but it is still very very worrying, isn't it? Looking after yourself is the best thing to do, although not easy!

sammyw · 25/01/2005 00:02

oh my god - i am writing this on behalf of my wife who is finally asleep after a night of worry.
She had some spotting in the last few days, in the middle of an aweful cold, and tonight she had a much fresher blood whe she went to the toilet, she has a midwife appt and scan booked 2morrow anyway, so the emergency GP said that she should await that - unless she has any severe pain. since then she has been twice and its been clear and no pain. can anybody give me some hope to cling on to. is it really so likely to be a misccariage or are there other reasons why she might get this.she is 11 weeks.

serenity · 25/01/2005 00:10

haven't read the rest of the thread, but sammyw - blood doesn't always mean a m/c. I bled on and off with both DS1 and 2, loads of scans, no real explanation why, but it was fine in the end. When I had a m/c it was different -same bleeding, but definite pain

Nothing I can say though will make your dw feel any more secure though. I remember every time it happened I was scared to move, just in case.

to both of you

HunkerMunker · 25/01/2005 00:11

sammyw, I had a bleed at 10 weeks - it's common to bleed around the time a period would've been due. I hope the scan goes well tomorrow hun - hugs to you both.
