Hi. I'm just wondering if you fell pregnant first month of trying? Or how long did it take you? and how many times did you dtd to get pregnant? Thanks

It takes several month for me 3-4 may be. It all depends on the period in which you are trying to conceive. You should calculate the days of ovulation and try in that period as the chances are much higher. But I didn't personally calculate and control it with a test. Although I did use an app that showed me the most likely and less likely days to get pregnant. I entered my data into it and that's all.

Actually, many factors affect a fertile window. That’s why knowing the start of ovulation or menstrual cycle isn’t enough. To be sure in everything you do, you can use a fertility app. It greatly helps.

16 months although we did get a BFP on month 1 and then month 6 but we lost both at 5 weeks.

We had a mc in July so took a break. Started ttc again, had a chemical then bfp the following month with this one. Only dtd twice the month we conceived her.
Never tracked ovulation and always had a relaxed approach to ttc, a few have been unplanned too 2 of which resulted in children (eldest and our twins). Find it easy to get pregnant but getting them past the 1st trimester is not always easy. Had loads of chemicals, 5 losses between 8 & 12wk, on 5th pregnancy to do well (6th child).

8 months then 3 months the second time. Sex 1-3 times over fertile window during that time. Used ovulation sticks as not having loads of sex.

About five years. Tried for another and it never happened. DD is 8 now.

marshmallowmode · 30/07/2021 21:25

7 months. But with two chemical pregnancies in month 4 and 5. Felt like forever at the time and I found the whole process really upsetting after the first 3 months. Now I can see it wasn't that long in the grand scheme of things but I think I spent so long carefully taking my pill and worrying about unplanned pregnancies when I was younger that I expected it to happen quicker!

Baby 1 - 9 months.

Ofpalestsilver · 30/07/2021 21:35

3 years, including 2 of trying naturally, then 3 failed IUI and then a successful IVF

Suzi888 · 30/07/2021 21:37

First time without contraceptives, age 40. Wasn’t trying to conceive.

jamsandwich1 · 30/07/2021 21:38

Both 2nd month of trying. DTD almost every day for a week around ovulation. 30 and 31 (just) when they were conceived.

broodyas · 30/07/2021 21:42

I'm currently 5+2, first month trying, first pregnancy. I'm in my late 20s. DH is early 30s.
I hadn't done OPKs etc but had been tracking symptoms (mainly cervical mucus) on an app for a few months.
Just fingers crossed the pregnancy continues now 🤞🏼

Good luck OP!

PurpleFlower1983 · 30/07/2021 22:36

DD - 3 years
DS - 2 months!

Theawkwardblonde · 30/07/2021 23:03

19 months...was being investigated for infertility. DTD once that month and somehow fell naturally. 18 weeks now.

ElizaDoolots · 30/07/2021 23:14

It’s such a wide spectrum isn’t it. With baby number 1 I got pregnant on the first attempt, with baby number 2 it took 9 months. Both times we DTD every other day during the ‘fertile window’.

HyphenCobra · 30/07/2021 23:20

1st - 2nd month
2nd - 1st month
Both in my early 20's

3rd - accident on only day in month we dtd 🙈 in my mid 30's

kikisparks · 31/07/2021 09:13

Started TTC age 29.

Got pregnant after 7 months then miscarried early.
Pregnant again after 3.5 years with a round of IVF then miscarried early.
After 4 years of TTC I got pregnant on our second go of IVF and I’m now nearly 27 weeks.

It will vary a lot by individual! Those were hard years but I count myself very lucky now.

AdventuresAwait · 02/08/2021 00:32

Second month of trying. We DTD about 3 times in fertile window.

WhenPushComesToShove · 02/08/2021 00:36

DC1 - 3 months
DC2 - 5 months
DC3 - surprise

TableFlowerss · 02/08/2021 00:38

1st time with my first two children (aged 26, 31)

4 months (just turned 40) but sadly had a MC. Not tried again as I couldn’t go through that again

FullMoonInsomnia · 02/08/2021 00:41

First try for all three. I seem to be super fertile. It depends on so many things and there is no average.

Amberheartkitty · 02/08/2021 00:46

First child on the pill. The next 3 kids all in the first month of trying.

Livemenot · 31/07/2022 14:16

It took us a month (did it twice around the supposed ovulation). I was 29 at the time and didn’t expect it to happen so quickly.

Bunny2006 · 31/07/2022 14:49

8 years and finally pregnant with my first naturally

BeanieTeen · 31/07/2022 14:53

1st straight away.
2nd 2 months.
3rd over a year - I think about 13 or 14 months.

All just a few years apart. No idea why the 3rd took so long.

LT2 · 31/07/2022 15:03

First time at 30. Used clearblue ovulation tests
