I’m now 29 weeks pregnant decided last week I had no choice but to have the vaccine.
I have 3 kids and over the holidays we are going to stay in our bubble. I’m hoping they will let me have my vaccine a bit earlier. Or I won’t be “covered” until the baby is here.

All restrictions are lifting and it’s estimated that there will be 100000 cases a day by September. I’m due the 22nd September.
I really don’t want to catch Covid just as I’m due.
I’m tempted to keep the kids of until the baby is born (I don’t want to do this at alllll!!!!). This is worse case scenario. But I don’t see how I can stay safe. There is lots of cases here at the moment let alone with no masks etc.
Any one else due September how are you feeling?
Am I being over anxious? Im asthmatic too. Im petrified of catching it at 37 weeks tbh, and not being able to give birth or look after my baby.
I have 3 kids, 2 get a taxi as their school is far (Sen), they have had lots of cases, Sen school so children can’t keep a distance or safe. Youngest at a mainstream.

@sarah13xx
Thank you!
I totally agree. Even kids that do
Show symptoms parents don’t test. Just sayi it’s just a cold!

Thanks you have made me feel better if it comes to that in September

@Tinydancer321 you are absolutely valid in your worries, no one will ridicule you for it don't worry. Having the vaccine or not is totally personal choice but I can totally understand your concerns as I was initially dead against getting it when pregnant however then did research and saw numbers rising again so went for it at 26 weeks and felt like it was 100% the right decision. I've actually just now called 119 to move my 2nd vaccine forward to get as much protection as possible in the 3rd trimester. I will have had a 6 week gap between them at at point so worth ringing and seeing what options you have

@LunaDreams thank you! I was Exactly the same! I only had it 5 days ago though so still have a wait. I wish I had done it earlier I really didn’t think they would get rid of masks tbh. Thank you.

My friend got it while pregnant (before we had the vaccine) and was very, very mildly unwell for no longer than 2 days. Yes some are more badly affected than this but that's life. We can't put our lives and the lives of children on hold just in case we get Covid otherwise where does it end - never drive anywhere in case of an accident for example. Life had to carry on.

I suppose to me it’s only 11 weeks left. So actually I want he be over careful she is ok.
I wouldn’t take risks and eat and drink things I shouldn’t so why should I be forced to risk things now. Because no one wants to wear a mask any more 🤦🏼‍♀️.
All these people seeing freedom do
You seriously not see big lockdowns in the winter! Which I will be well annoyed about. Because no one wanted to wear a mask for a few months we all have to
Stay in for months.

@Chelyanne

I'm 34wk, not vaccinated and not worried. The world has gone mad imo. We have lived alongside thousands of viruses all our lives and now are terrified of 1.
Best answer yet - some of the stuff I am seeing on these threads is insane! People have been well and truly fooled by the media. Even the OP stat of 100000 cases a day by September 🙄

Agreed 100% - the assumption and fear on a lot of these threads seems to be that people believe if you are in the third trimester of pregnancy you will get COVID and become seriously ill where that is not the case at all. The same with any illness, everyone reacts in a different way. You cannot let something ruin your life when there is no guarantee it will ever happen to you. Live your life people, vaccinated or not!

FYI, I also have a friend who contracted COVID late in pregnancy at the beginning of this year, initially didn't even know she had it, then said it was like a bad cold - completely recovered, no concerns from midwife/doctors and baby was fine
