Hi, just wondering if anyone had missed their period after having the Covid vaccine mine is currently 7 days late I’ve never been this late Unless pregnant (no pregnancy symptoms either) and no sign of it coming.

I’ve missed two, one after first dose of moderna and one was due last week (4 weeks since second jab) and it’s still not here

Definitely get a pregnancy test if period still doesn't come. The first day of my last period was on 6 June and second jab on 16 June. My cycle length has been in-between 34 - 36 days for years. My ovulation somehow was brought forward that month. Did a test on 30 July and was already 6/7 weeks pregnant. I've no idea how that happened!

Hi guys, just to let you know... my period turned-up albeit a month late.
I however, will not be going for any type of winter-top up, and will not give consent for my 12 year old daughter to have it at all...
I wish you all the best, and will pray that your missed periods eventually arrive x

This is my first full cycle since being fully vaccinated, and I'm 7 days late at the moment. Pregnancy tests are negative. This hasn't happened to me since I was a teenager, my cycles are normally 28-29 days long without variation.

I just had my period turn up another 3 weeks late too. So bizarre I was always 28 days to the day. Have reported it on the government yellow card.

Hi OP/PPs,
Just wondering if your cycle has returned to normal now? I had my flu vaccine + Covid booster on 28th September. Now on CD36 and counting! Have had intermittent cramps for days, similar to when AF is due, but still nothing. I have a couple of HUGE spots and am moody as hell! Planning to start TTC in the next couple of months x

Hi all,
Just wondered if anyone has any updates on this? Came off bc in Jan 21- cycles took 6 weeks to start and periods were v light initially. They then regulated.
I then missed a period/cycle in May after having the first dose of Pfizer the week I was due to ovulate. I then had regular cycles seemingly back to normal. Had my second dose in July and have not had my period since August. I'm praying I ovulate in November but no sign as yet.
Really worrying. I've a GP appointment on Friday but not sure if they Will help.

Update: I’ve posted on this thread before. I had my first vaccine in April, had a delayed period in May. 2nd vaccine in June and missed period June/July. Period arrived in August heavy for about a week and I thought I was back on track. September had light spotting for two days and then no period in October. For someone who had a period pretty much the same time every month, it’s now an absolute mess. I’m trying for a baby as well and it’s been so hard tracking ovulation. Currently using ovulation strips to get a better idea of when I’m mostly ovulating, if at all. Doctors do not seem to care and will tell you to “not stress” which doesn’t help either

@Af2021

It's common for quite a few vaccines to cause a temporary disruption to a person's menstrual cycle (our bodies can get a bit out of kilter while they're learning about defending against the new threat they've found out about), but I would have expected your cycle to have gone back to its usual pattern by now if your second dose was way back in June!

Keep asking your GPs for help and investigations - there are some blood tests they could consider to check hormone levels and to review your overall physical and mental health. Maybe ask to see a female GP? Sometimes they can be more aware of how distressing gynaecological issues can be. The next step after that could be to be referred to a gynaecology clinic for further assessment. Waiting lists are likely to be quite long though, as you'd probably be categorised (by their triage system) as "non-urgent" (despite the distress it's causing). If you have the funds available, you might want to consider a private appointment at this stage (I'd try to get the initial investigations done on the NHS if possible).

You should also fill in a yellow card online to report what's happening and that it started after you had the covid vaccine. The yellow card system flags up potential links and side effects so they can be investigated, which is important for patient safety.

I hope things improve for you soon!
