Hi everyone, I recently got my bfp after our first IVF cycle. I'm due either 31.01.22 or 01.02.22 depending on what calculator I use! I'm still in complete disbelief and don't think I'll really believe it until we get to our early scan. Other than being really tired, sore boobs and bloating I don't have any symptoms but these are probably all caused by the progesterone anyway!

Thought it might be nice to have an ivf pregnancy chat over here so please join me! 😊

@Bladette84 glad all went well with the scan!
@DoctorBambino my first scan is on Monday. I'll be 7+6 and I can't wait to have it! I still feel nauseous so I'm taking that as a positive sign! Ah hopefully the bleeding is just from implantation like the sonographer said. How long until your next scan?

CurlyWurlyTwos · 08/07/2021 21:57

I had my scan today at the IVF clinic, it went well and I was officially discharged and told to refer myself onto regular antenatal care.

I measured 8+4 when I should be 7+5!!

I have to say that I feel a lot more settled now - hope that this feeling lasts!

CurlyWurlyTwos · 08/07/2021 21:58

How about your scan @EmCEmC - we were on the same day….

becarefuloutthere · 08/07/2021 22:43

@CurlyWurlyTwos good to hear all went well! Hope the same happens for me on Monday 😬 did they say why you were measuring bigger? So you're further along now then due to the size?

EmCEmC · 09/07/2021 06:19

Hey @CurlyWurlyTwos so glad to hear your scan went well. My scan also went well - small hematoma was the reason for the bleeding last weekend, so heading back in a couple of weeks for a follow up. Feeling so relieved to see baby in the right place and hearing that heartbeat! What an experience!!

DoctorBambino · 09/07/2021 08:01

@becarefuloutthere not long to go until Monday! My next one is in 12 days! No spotting this morning so feeling more relaxed for today at least.

Wow @CurlyWurlyTwos nearly a whole week ahead! That's amazing, I wonder if that will continue the whole way along!? Got to be a good sign of a healthy baby anyway!

@EmCEmC I'm glad your scan went well too, so surreal to see that little heart beating away isn't it! Nice to have a reason for the bleed too, fingers crossed you don't get anymore, I totally understand how stressful it is!

I’m so glad your scans have gone well, I hope they bring you some peace to keep you going!

becarefuloutthere · 09/07/2021 09:04

@EmCEmC ah so pleased for you!!
@DoctorBambino just 3 days now! Can't believe I'm willing a Monday to hurry up 😂 ivf really does drive you to insanity 🤪
Good to hear no spotting today! Wow 12 days isn't long to wait until the next one, that's great! I'll have roughy 4 weeks all being well.

EmCEmC · 09/07/2021 16:27

Thank you ladies - on to the next milestone... another 2ww for the next scan at 8+3!!

Starting to get some nausea now, I had put it down to anxiety leading up to yesterday's scan but now I'm not so sure!

We're telling our parent this weekend and this will be the first grandchild all round. Hope everyone else has great weekends planned x

CurlyWurlyTwos · 10/07/2021 11:05

So pleased that your scan went well too @EmCEmC 💕! Yup - another 2ww wait. It never ends!

It’s so nerve racking isn’t it?

I’ve had terrible nausea the last week, but it’s definitely dimmed/hardly there this morning which is making me worry! I was determined to wait until 12 week scan now, and see whether I can wait it out until then - now I’m not so sure 🤣.

I have received bad news at a private scan before, so the experience is making me wary of booking one. I’d rather be with ‘proper’ midwives/drs.

In my brain I know there’s nothing I can do apart from take my meds, but already desperate for another peek 🙈!

It’s weird to be so far ahead as I KNOW exact day of transfer day of 5 day blast! But I’d rather a week ahead than a week behind! The sonographer said that things are so tiny at this stage a mm out can be a few days. Also that 12 weeks is the most accurate dating time so might even out later on.

@DoctorBambino fingers crossed for Monday. Glad that the bleeding has stopped - a few of us have had it in the last few weeks!

Hope everyone has a good weekend xx

becarefuloutthere · 12/07/2021 22:22

@EmCEmC hope the announcement to the family went well! Glad the scan was a success!
@CurlyWurlyTwos how's the nausea been?

Had my viability scan today at 7+6 and all good! Measuring as it should and saw a flickering of the heartbeat 💓

Hope you're all well everyone?!

EmCEmC · 15/07/2021 18:53

Hey, how's everyone doing? We had a great weekend telling family our news and a few close friends too.

I wanted to see if anyone else is feeling this way and if I'm over reacting? Work still don't know the outcome of my 'maternity project' (as coined by my french manager) and the last couple of days I've been really angry and over reacting at the slightest of things. My reactions are worrying me as this isn't my usual behaviour, hubby wants me to get signed off for a couple of weeks, but I feel a bit 'pathetic' doing so... anyone else in a similar position? What have you decided to do? I'm speaking with a GP this evening. I've been signed off work in the past for stress related issues but it had gotten much further down the line by then... (sorry for the long post) thx x

Hi Ladies,

I am hoping to get some advice. I got a bfp 2 weeks ago after my day 5 transfer after 9yrs of trying. I had IVF abroad and I have to take progesterone for atleast 10 weeks but I didn't get enough when I left the Fertility clinic abroad.

Does anyone have experience of getting progesterone in the UK. I spoke to my GP today and he said they can't prescribe any. I have been stressing all morning and getting really scared that some thing might go wrong if I stop taking progesterone. I am 5+3 days today.

Do UK pharmacies accept prescription from other EU countries. I will appreciate any advice I can get please.

becarefuloutthere · 19/07/2021 13:02

@Deedee08 congratulations 🥳 sounds like a tough journey! I can't answer your question but I'd be very surprised if it's really needed for 10 weeks. I took it for 4 weeks and then was told that some places tell you to stop as soon as you get a bfp. So I guess what I'm saying is, please don't let it stress you out too much. I take it the clinic abroad won't send you anymore?

Deedee08 · 19/07/2021 13:06

@becarefuloutthere many thanks. I wonder why natural cycles don't need it but IVF do so annoying, I am trying so hard to stay calm but it's really difficult.
