Hi.

I need some help.
Whats the best pushchair for a newborn and a toddler.?
I also need one that clicks the carseat into. Like a travel system. It makes things so much easier with a newborn.
I was looking at the silver cross wave. But not sure if they have a carseat to go with it.
Thanks. 😁

This isn’t parent facing and unless you buy the adapters, you can’t clip the car seat onto it but the best double pushchair I’ve found, is the out n about 360

Bugaboo donkey is brilliant! Fits a maxicosi car seat with an adapter. Side by side pram but quite small and lightweight in comparison to some doubles. I use as a single lots too with a side basket. Highly recommend. Thinking of selling mine in the summer if you're interested....

I have a 2 year old and a baby back in November , we used Icandy peach which also had the adapters for the car seat

Bugaboo donkey. We only use it as a single with side basket at the moment but got it in anticipation of needing a double

We have the icandy orange and a cybex carseat which can be attatched, baby isnt here yet but finding it good so far for 20m old

I think I'll manage to avoid needing a double due to the age gap... but I would hands down get a Thule Urban Glide or an Out n About 360. Side by side is so much nicer I think, otherwise the older kid tends to be shoved in an uncomfortble seat where they can't see a thing!!

Lchappers · 17/05/2021 10:18

Thanks all.
I like the look of the icandy orange. Do adapters come with it?
I Only bought my pushchair last year as I have 7month old. Now I have another one on the way I should of saved money and went straight in with a double.
Im not sure how i feel about the bugaboo donkey. Is it a nightmare getting in shops? It looks bulky.

With the orange you buy the pushchair set which has a carrycot and a seat unit. You then buy a converter set which has adapters which allow you to use the carrycot and seat unit at the same time, this costs £50ish

If you want to use two seat units you need to buy an additional seat fabric (around £100) and this then turns your carrycot into a seat.

It works out much cheaper than the peach and i read that the carrycot is bigger on the orange, i am expecting baby to be over 9lb so wanted a good size carrycot

The carseat adapters which came with the pushchair fit my cybex aton 5

Orange also has a built in buggy board which i have used with my four year old. I find it fine to push with him on and 20m old in the seat

Despite only having one child I always eye up the cosatto wow XL. I looked at it when we were having DS but sadly I had the most miniature boot and was very limited on what I could fit in it. It's well built and moves well. Sadly I couldn't get it so that's all I know.

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 17/05/2021 10:44

What put me off the Cosatto Wow XL was how many of them are for sale 'nearly new' 'barely used' 'only used for 4 months' there must be a reason for this! I suspect it is HEAVY.

SillyBry · 17/05/2021 10:48

I think looking at the cosatto wow, it's well designed for a baby and a toddler... less well designed for once you have two that want to be in proper seats rather than a basinett :-)

Lchappers · 17/05/2021 10:58

@THATbasicSNOWFLAKE

I think I might go and have a look at the icandy orange.
Just done some reaserch on it now and its looks like I may have to buy 2 car seats. As the one I have doesn't fit it.
Honestly buying a double pushchair is like buying a car haha. All the hidden costs.

Wow good luck on the 9lb baby!! My first was 7lb so I'm hoping a nice size again haha.
When are you due?

The donkey is fine as a footplate unless you have car seat adapters on, then it becomes too wide for a standard door.

I would get a Baby Jogger City Mini Twin. I had the donkey when my twins were born but got rid of it just before hey turned one. It is a lovely pram but taking the seats on and off all the time was a PITA. You need a big car to get it in.

The BJCM is a single hand fold. folds almost flat, seats are huge, sun shades are huge nad the seats when reclined are totally flat not hte bucket like seats in the donkey so will be more comfy for your older child. You would need a bassinet for the baby and I think they do car seat adapters as well now.

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 17/05/2021 11:01

Which carseat do you have op?

Im due first week in July!

whattodo2019 · 17/05/2021 11:02

Mountain buggy

Keyboard91 · 17/05/2021 11:46

Word of caution - check weight guidelines! I got the iCandy peach last year knowing we would potentially have a 2nd. I’m due in August, LB is currently 12.5kg ... found out very recently that iCandys only go up to 15kg per seat when in double mode.

The uppababy vista and silver cross wave has a higher weight limit for the top seats (closer to you). I didn’t look at side by sides so can’t comment on those.

I’ve gone for the cybex gazelle - 22kg per seat in double (and fits a car seat for travel system style).

Agree completely with this.
