I know it’s not always possible to pick, but if you could what month would you pick and why?

Also, you do your third trimester when it's cool, so can enjoy wandering round in midwinter in short sleeves and not overheating!

April. Birthday in the Easter hols, lovely weather to cheer you up during newborn hell. I'm due in November after a Feb baby and an April baby and not looking forward to postpartum winter!
I didn't find it that bad tbh- no requirement to get out and about, loads of snuggles indoors and no need to get out of PJs even if you don't want to. And then when you hit spring and are feeling more up to doing stuff, they're sitting up and crawling and stuff and it's lovely to let them roll around on a rug on the grass. And you don't have to spend the newborn phase worried they're overheating because of a summer heatwave.

@DoLallyTapMum

The september comments have me laughing, all of the people I know who are genius level clever were born in late summer and some skipped several years at school so were a lot younger than their peers. Also, if you’re a summer baby you can always start school the following September so would have the advantage of being the oldest in the class anyway.
this is a great example of anecdote does not = data.

Every survey shows that summer borns don't as well in school, and even further on through life.

Mine are Dec, Nov and March.

Made not one jot of difference winter or summer. In fact having a crawling baby in summer is rubbish, especially if you have an older toddler, go to the park, can't let baby crawl on grass, but toddler wants to play. Much better to have sitting baby, or a walker!

But I would avoid Nov, Dec and Jan as it is all too close to Christmas.
