OK so I've been waiting for my harmony test for about a week now so I am super stressed!
The only reason I decided to do the test was my age so please tell me all about lovely healthy babies born whilst you were in your 40's

My NHS risk factor was 'high' - 1:80, mostly due to my age (43). I had the Harmony test which came back low risk - 1:10000. Added bonus of finding out the sex too! Happy, healthy baby born.

I had my beloved, bright, beautiful DC3 when I was 42. Amazing pregnancy, smooth as silk delivery, and just the most beautiful bond from the moment I held him. He's my special guy... snuck in before the gates shut. Grin He's glorious!
Best of luck and healthy blessings to you, OP.

This thread is giving me so much hope! Thank you ladies. Had first BFP last Sept but MCd. Trying vits, ovulation strips and acupuncture. Not keen on IVF route.....yet. Trying not to give up hope.

I conceived DS at 44, having been told I couldn't have a family. Quite a surprise.

I had various healthcare people, family asking me if I was sure, raising eyebrows etc. Hmm I was lucky and had the easiest pregnancy, no morning sickness, no issues at all except swollen ankles at 7 months so I stopped commuting, Stopped work at 36 weeks.

DS was born 40+6, exactly 8lb. He's the best. Smile

GP here.

Did a baby check - mum's age: 47.

Both were doing very well.

47's a slight exception but not unusual to see mums aged 40/41/42 nowadays. Can't recall any issues with baby in these cases.

Thank you for this! I’m so scared about telling my family, worried that my parents will think I’m being selfish and irresponsible for having a baby at 41.
