Good morning,
With the current guidance quite vague, which I do understand is because there is limited knowledge and research.
''If you are 28 weeks pregnant and beyond, or if you are pregnant and have an underlying health condition that puts you at a greater risk of severe illness from COVID-19 at any gestation, you should take a more precautionary approach.''(Gov.uk)

What will you be/are you doing from 28 weeks? I work in early years and so zero social distancing, I know a lot of health workers and teachers are being sent home from 28 weeks. Are you shielding? Working from home? Will you still be visiting friends/shops when restrictions allow? attending things like yoga classes when they open?

Obviously no right or wrong answer I just want to see how others are taking the guidance?

No I had flu like symptoms for four days managed at home with paracetamol. I felt fine by Friday and the Tuesday after I went to the hospital with reduced movements. She had a hr of 150 and I was monitored for 5 hours and they decided to induce me because I wasn’t happy with her movements.
I had been off the monitor 15 minutes by the time I got up to delivery suite and she had passed away.

If you search “histiocytic intervillositis covid” or placenta damage and covid quite a few medical journals and studies come up. Thankfully it is rare and a lot of babies are born before the damage is severe.

@jmildsss my work has a kitchen person too but they have me washing pots at the other side of the room, it is tiring so I'm going on maternity leave in two weeks. I did try for the suspended pay but they really weren't for giving it to me, but yes as far as I know it's 100%, definitely ring ACAS and ask your employer to ring them themselves too!
