What's the best place for maternity clothes?

I'm currently 17 weeks and I'm starting to find my normal clothes really uncomfortable and tight. My bump is starting to show now and I was wondering where do you guys get your maternity clothes from? I'd love some recommendations 😁😁

H&M for most. Love Leggings for leggings.

I found H&M to be really good for maternity clothes. The quality and fit better than their usual non-maternity clothes! X

Serephine is fab but expensive

I've had a lot of good stuff this pregnancy from ASOS. Boots maternity tights are good too.

I got most of mine in bundles from ebay. Frugi do some lovely stuff but it's so expensive.

H&M, ASOS, New Look for basics. Seraphine and JoJo for nicer stuff.

I’m gonna go against the grain here and say I’m not too impressed with H&M’s stuff... I’m only 12 weeks but my clothes are getting uncomfortable already so I’ve bought a few bits. I bought one pair of leggings in a M and one pair of jeggings in a L and they were both too small?!

I’ve got some bits from Dorothy Perkins and they were all great, especially the jeans

H&m leggings and jeans... Normal tops that are bigger sizes... M&S maternity/nursing bra

Oooh and GAP can have a few nice bits too. They always have big discount codes too.

@MrsB2019x I agree- I hate the fabric and sizing of H&M maternity range. The leggings are see through and crazy long. (I'm 5ft 6 so not particularly short and had to roll them under loads). I ended up returning everything I got from there!

Depends on your budget.

You want cheap and cheerful... most supermarkets have maternity ranges at very affordable prices.
Bigger budget most other stores have ranges, worth looking at any you usually buy stuff from to see what they have.

Maternity wear is super comfy but most can get away with just buying up a size or two, that's worth thinking about too.

I really liked asos and new look. I didn't get on with H&M.

I think it depends on how you shop normally. It was really important to me to buy things that I will wear a long time after baby is born because of the environmental impact so I've gone for better quality stuff that I genuinely like and will wear after baby is born and even when I go back to work (wrap dresses etc). I found the Seraphine sale was really good for that and their clothes are comfy and good quality. You can definitely get stuff cheaper though if you're only planning to wear while PG. My bump also appeared in October so I only really had to worry about 1 season which made life a bit easier (and cheaper)!

@blueberrypancake21 I donated all of my old maternity wear (that I'd used over a few pregnancies) to charity. Most were cheap supermarket buys but still had plenty of wear in them, I thought I was done making babies at the time but pregnant again.

@Chelyanne that's definitely a good option and is probably what will happen to my leggings etc to be fair. I'm just never sure I can be 100% confident where the stuff I donate to charity ends up (most gets exported for sale I think) or what impact it is having so I'd rather get max use myself. While I care about it I'm not invested enough to do the proper research to pick the right charity and work through their supply chain and then find a branch - I would just go to the one on my high street. Sorry - probably getting too deep for this thread!

Jeans - Dorothy Perkins (and they have a sale on at the moment)
Leggings - Marks and Spencer & Very (true to size, not see through)
Tops - Dorothy Perkins and new look (just be careful with sizing on newlook as I had to size up on most tops).

I struggled with maternity from supermarkets as they don't stock any maternity clothes in the ones near me, but I would try places like ASDA, Tesco, M&S online as well because they sometimes have sales on and they are meant to be decent quality.

@BlueberryPancake21 most of ours go to the local church charity shop, so most if not all is bought by local people. We give outgrown kids underwear and some bottoms to the school for when accident happen as most don't wash and return too. Kids do destroy plenty of clothes and they make pretty good rags for when hubby is working on the car.
