How long can I realistically hide this pregnancy?

Hi! advice plz!
I'm 7 weeks pregnant, 2nd baby, at risk of redundancy and due to find out my fate early November. I'd much rather keep my job but there are some advantages to going (long service pay out etc) the scoring and selection process is quite in depth and I've done all of the pre- work for it already.
I'm really good at what I do and want the decision to be made either way based on my ability - I just don't want the conversation to come up of 'oh she's pregnant let's let her go / she's pregnant let's protect her etc' does that make sense?
I want to get my role on merit and my previous hard work record.
So my 12 week scan is 18th September. Can I realistically hide until week 18 and has anyone else done that / how did work react? Also is my plan a silly one?

Thanks in advance!!

People are still very surprised that I don’t look pregnant at 23 weeks, although I’m tall and a FTM.

My normal clothes are high waisted, skinny/slim fit bottoms and an oversized shirt/top, so I’m finding that helpful in “sucking things in” and disguising.

Whenever I wear anything maternity or fitted, you can start to see a bump, even though it’s that bit more comfortable.

With my first I hid it until 20 weeks as I was trying to get a pay rise. I used to tell people how rude it was that people assumed I was pregnant when I was previously overweight and wore loose dresses.

Second time round I am obviously pregnant looking by 16 weeks.

Time to start moaning about lock down weight gain!

I'm 5'3, size 10-12. I managed 20weeks+ (think I could have lasted to 24) the first time.

This time, I'm 17 weeks and it's already fairly obvious. Big baby this time and I'm a lot, lot, lot less active due to lockdown.

With my 1st I didn't show until the last 2 months

With my 2nd 5 months

With this one... I have put on a lot of weight due to lockdown and I think everyone will find out quickly as I have always been quite slim.

Hi all,
I can understand the fear of telling your employer.
I've been working at the same company for 6 years.
I fell pregnant with my daughter 4 years ago. The office consists of me, another employee and my boss. Well when I told him I was pregnant he went mad at me and asked if I've ever heard of contraception.
My colleague is on maternity leave and back in November.
I found out im pregnant on Saturday. 5 + weeks. Im due back into the office in September. After the way my boss acted last time, Im terrified to tell him. There's no hr department as its such a small company.
I had a coil fitted but it slipped and I ended up pregnant.
I'm so worried.

I hid my 4th pregnancy from absolutely everyone till I was 17 weeks... probably could have hidden it longer. However on 5th pregnancy now I'm 24 weeks and I'm struggling to hide it 😩. Really depends on how early you show

loudev · 16/08/2020 10:16

14 weeks not 24 lol sorry

@MoMof4xx that's awful! There's a maternity discrimination charity called Pregnant then Screwed that might be able to give you some support and advice on how to tell him

Thank you, il give them a try if needed. Its really worrying me x

There was a lady at my last job who managed to 'hide' her pregnancy from her colleagues (all men) until 6 months + had gone by Grin but they were very dense!

I congratulated her at a work party and she looked genuinely shocked and asked me to not tell anyone - and I mean she was very obviously heavily pregnant in a baggy sweater.
