@Dspx I have been feeling exactly like this for over a week now! Have a private scan booked in two weeks which still feels like forever away when I'm sat here symtomless

Pav3190 · 20/07/2020 03:36
@Pav3190 had a google and found this www.ouh.nhs.uk/patient-guide/leaflets/files/13396Pdoppler.pdf
It scares meConfused

Dspx · 20/07/2020 07:59

@PollyOaks ideally I wanted a private scan at 16/17 weeks I think 7 weeks is such a long time between scan but my partner doesn’t want to as we paid for a private scan at 11 weeks so he could be there and are having a private 4D at 24 weeks as there is history of cleft lip in his family so want to check so it’s a lot of money to keep paying for scans especially When we get married next year to so need to save. Just keep telling myself that it’s ok I would know if something is wrong good luck for your scan xx

Onekidnoclue · 20/07/2020 08:55

@Pav3190

Hi all.. New here.. I had my NT scan this Thursday (12wk+5) and they gave a report that my right uterine doppler shows high resistance. Pi level is 2.29. Can anyone show some light on this? I have my docvappointment only on coming saturday. Can't wait till that
Hi @Pav3190 welcome to the group. I’ve never heard of the issue you mentioned. What did the midwife say? Are you having follow up appointments for it?

I was told like blood flow is less in right uterine.. I should increase my fluid intake and it should be under normal by 20 weeks...

Tink2020 · 20/07/2020 09:10

@Pav3190 from what I understand you will see the Midwife’s and possibly a consultant more and maybe have more scans. Try and relax, they are so good sat helping with and preventing any problems now xx

Onekidnoclue · 20/07/2020 09:58

@Pav3190 it’s great they’re optimistic and there’s a simple fix to help. Must be horribly stressful though. Fingers crossed and drink lots of water!

@Pav3190 I understand that anything outside of the norm is a bit of a concern but I would take it as a positive that they picked it up. It just means you get more monitoring and they will be straight on it if any problems. I am on aspirin for a raised chance of preeclampsia as my Sister has it but am just feeling relieved they are on top of things. I’m sure you and Babba will both be fine! X

MahamChoudhury · 20/07/2020 10:47

I am 16+ weeks, FTM and as of now my due date is same as my birthday i.e. 1st Jan. Not really sure what I think of that yet lol. I am sure it will change by next scan.

I am unfortunately not really enjoying this pregnancy as much as I can. I am really scared and worried for the baby all the time. I have no symptoms left and I feel so much energy now that it has literally scared me. My friends tell me it's because I am in the second trimester and that's how it should be and I am worrying unnecessarily. I haven't properly shopped for maternity clothes (let alone anything for the baby). I know that I desperately need some loose clothes now as I am definitely not my previous size 6. I keep telling myself to wait for the next scan and first see if all is well in there. It is really very very scary. Can't wait for the next scan!

Tink2020 · 20/07/2020 11:01

Got my hospital scan tomorrow, seems like it’s taken forever to come round. So happy I booked the private scan two weeks ago as it’s still no partners at our hospital 😢

SnookyPook · 20/07/2020 11:11

@Tink2020 aw good luck. That’s nice you had the private one with your partner at least. And some reassurance if all was going well 2 weeks ago! Keep us posted Smile

I feel quite lucky, since the 12wk scan I’ve been feeling pretty calm about everything. It is a bit of a wait until the 20wk scan (7th Sept for me) but I am just trying to enjoy this time. Worrying won’t change anything at all if something is wrong and I‘m managing To be quite zen at the moment. That said, I have a lot of sympathy for those still stressing out. I found the wait up to the first scan pretty anxious. Maybe as the 20wk one gets closer it will hit again. I think we just have to ride the ups and downs!

Tink2020 · 20/07/2020 11:19

I feel a lot calmer going into this one after seeing such an active baby in the private scan. Feeling very happy about my partner being at the private one as he is so excited. We have planned out our announcement x

Pav3190 · 20/07/2020 13:38

Thanks a lot for your concerns.. Hopefully everything shud get normal @Onekidnoclue @SnookyPook @Tink2020

Tink2020 · 21/07/2020 11:52

Just had my scan. Baby is well, very active again. I measured at 12 weeks 5, due date is 28th Jan. NT was 2.3 x

Onekidnoclue · 21/07/2020 14:47

Kept moving, flipping sides then went upside down. They said it’s very active which is a good sign.

SnookyPook · 21/07/2020 18:46

@Tink2020 aw yay! That’s great. You’re due just a few days after me 💕

Tink2020 · 21/07/2020 18:50

@SnookyPook yay, a fellow end of month mummy x

Tink2020 · 22/07/2020 10:07

I got my first item of maternity clothing today. A pair of denim shorts of eBay, £1.30 plus postage. They are sooo comfy 😍

SnookyPook · 22/07/2020 10:34

@Tink2020 ooh good job! Yeah I’m going to get some stuff later. Saw my Sister yesterday and she was adamant there is a definite small bump 🤪 even if it’s still just bloat, getting sick of unbuttoning my top button on my jeans 🤭

Yeah my due date is 22nd - really hoping to avoid December - we have a major cluster of December birthdays in the family (mine is the 29th). My Sister’s due date last year was 29th Jan and baby appeared on 20th Dec!! So who knows?! 😂

Tink2020 · 22/07/2020 10:39

My partners is the 28th of Dec, he is adamant it’s arriving on time, in January lol x Most women in my family go late apart from the obvious - the twins. So I may even get a February baby lol x
I live in elasticated cotton trousers I bought for my holiday we were supposed to go on. We were going to Cuba so had a lot of light, floaty clothes already x

Onekidnoclue · 22/07/2020 11:01

I’m in mat jeans full time now. They’re so bloody comfortable, I might never got back.
I’m 15 January and do not want to be early! I think January is plenty early enough in the year. I’ve been having a word with the bump and told him to aim for mid-late jan. 💪💪🤞🤞

Hey everyone how is everyone feeling? I am 15 + 3 now, due January 10th. I've booked a private scan for next week (so my other half can come) and really can't decide on finding out the sex. Didn't in my first pregnancy and had no urge to but this time wondering if it will make me more practical - what is everyone else doing? I want to know but get the fear it'll be a bit of an anti-climax?! Would love to hear anyone's experience or thoughts :) It's a weird time when symptoms drop however I've started to feel tiny taps now and this is reassuring!

Onekidnoclue · 22/07/2020 11:27

I found out the sex. We’re having a boy. I’m really glad I found out. I was really sure I was having a girl and would have been bloody surprised in the delivery room when a little boy appeared! Plus I think it’ll make it easier for our DS to understand what’s happening when we tell him.

Tink2020 · 22/07/2020 11:34

We want to find out. My partner wants to hold out for the 20 week scan but I am so impatient lol x

My partner tells my bump “be on time or late, You need to be after January pay day” hahaha x
